TAdviser IT PRIZE award winners, May 2021

As part of TAdviser SummIT 2021, held on May 26, the winners of TAdviser IT PRIZE were selected. By the decision of the expert council, the award was awarded to companies in nine nominations.

Breakthrough of the year

TAdviser IT PRIZE was awarded to T1, which made a radical business breakthrough - recovery from a recession, business restructuring and revenue growth of 123% in 2020. The award was received by Sergey Solovyov, general director of the T1 group of companies.

Last year, the entire business was reformatted: it was rebuilt to a new strategy and set up for development within a group of various technological areas. The goal of transformation is to form a pool of current technologies and set up the process of finding new ones. Conceptually, the group began to close almost all areas in the IT market. It can now meet any customer IT challenge.

The company has significantly changed market positioning: now T1 is not just an IT integrator, but a trusted advisor to large customers on digitalization and digital transformation. The company carried out a large-scale rebranding, which reflected a serious update: a new level of ambitions and competencies, a modern corporate culture, a stable financial situation and a carefully considered development strategy. This required a number of major changes in the commercial function, production and management structure.

The parent company of T1 Holding has become a "single window" for customers in the implementation of large complex projects. The integration line of business in the group is the company "T1 Integration" (formerly "Technoserv"), consulting - "T1 Consulting" (formerly "Technoserv Consulting"), cloud services - "T1 Cloud" (formerly Technoserv Cloud), and the development of custom software - "Recsoft" and "Innotech" (specializing in the banking industry). Today, the company's priority is to develop its own cross-industrial software solutions that can be demanded by large geographically distributed companies.

Plans to expand the group in different segments of the IT market: Big Data, outsourcing, IoT, cybersecurity, import substitution both in terms of "iron" and "software." Opportunities are being explored, both for organic growth and for mergers and acquisitions.

At the end of 2020, the company returned to the number of leaders in the Russian corporate digitalization market. Its revenue amounted to 59.2 billion rubles (including VAT), compared with 26.5 billion rubles in 2019. The staffing of the group's companies for 2020 has more than doubled: from 2500 to 5400 employees. The team was supplemented by highly qualified specialists: the company's top management, unique IT specialists, and the direction of recruitment was strengthened. By the end of 2021, it is planned to attract more than 3200 employees, mainly in the areas of development, testing and technical support.

Machine learning. Platform of the Year

The prize was given to the decision of ML Space to SberCloud. TAdviser IT PRIZE was awarded to Fedor Prokhorov, Deputy General Director for Information Technologies of SberCloud.

ML Space is a solution for the development of full-cycle machine learning solutions and the collaboration of datasientist teams to create and deploy machine learning models. It is possible to organize distributed training of models on more than 1 thousand graphics processors based on the supercomputer Sber "Christopharie." This is the world's only cloud service for ML development, allowing you to organize distributed training on more than a thousand GPUs.

The platform integrates the usual Data Scientists Jupyter Notebook and Jupyter Lab, as well as all popular libraries and frameworks are pre-installed.

A distinctive feature of the solution is that to work on this platform, an employee does not need to be a specialist in the field of data analysis. It is enough for him to choose a dataset, determine computing resources and set a task. After that, the platform will choose the best solution to this problem. And you can place a trained model in the form of a microservice with the API in just three clicks in the Deployments module.

During the year of ML Space, the total amount of data on which the models were trained exceeded 1 Pb, and the number of GPU-minutes that were used to work with it is more than 66 million.

The functionality of the ML Space platform (Model Training and Inference) and the Kristofari supercomputer were used to create the Salyut family of virtual assistants for Sberbank Online, a smart display of SberPortal and TV set-top boxes SberBox, for training the world's first Russian-language transformer model GPT-3 with 760 million and 1.3 billion parameters, the model is posted in open access. With the help of GPT-3, it became possible to create really breakthrough products. The model allows you to fundamentally improve the understanding of the natural language by machines and solve many problems from the NLP area as efficiently as possible. That is why GPT-3 can generate meaningful sentences and program code.

He also noted that the main mission of the company is to democratize artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies. This explains why the prices for using ML Space are the lowest compared to similar offers, in Russia, and around the world.

IB solution of the year

The award was received by the Infowatch Traffic Monitor DLP system, a high-tech system for organizing leakage protection, as well as analyzing corporate data, predicting and preventing the risks of IB based on artificial intelligence (AI). The prize was awarded to Margarita Amalitskaya, vice president of marketing and product management at Infowatch, the developer of this solution.

Infowatch Traffic Monitor is actually an advanced system for protecting digital assets of companies. It has been on the market since 2003. It is a domestic enterprise-solution developed by one of the leading vendors in the market. information security Russia Since 2012, Gartner analysts have included the Traffic Monitor DLP system in the list of leading products in the world. Over the years, product opportunities have been used in more than 3,000 projects in 20 countries. The implementation allows customers to ensure the maximum level of protection of confidential information and a small number of false positives thanks to modern content analysis technologies (28 patents for their own technologies).

Traffic Monitor analyzes information flows in the company, detects and blocks attempts to distribute confidential information through various communication channels, which include not only standard channels for any DLP system, but also those that have gained special importance in the post-pandemic world - mobile devices, social networks, clouds, proprietary systems, etc.

Traffic Monitor is able to identify not only traditional text documents related to confidential documents for DLP, but also such complex ones as, for example, fragments of drawings, printed documents, uploads from databases, hand-filled forms and much more.

The product is constantly developing. So, the Infowatch DLP system was the first in the market to receive visual analytics tools that can process data in enterprise networks up to 100 thousand nodes in size. And in 2020, the capabilities of the DLP system were further strengthened by predictive analytics technologies. Thus, using the Infowatch Traffic Monitor system, it became possible to move from identifying violations to predicting them. This involves the ability to automatically detect abnormal employee activity and the chain of related events, as well as notify about risks for further control or investigation.

The addition of visual and predictive analytics tools has led to the fact that the DLP system, which was previously used only by information security services, has become a tool that helps to quickly and carefully make management decisions at the level of senior management and economic security departments, personnel department, IT departments and others.

The InfoWatch Traffic Monitor solution demonstrates clear innovative prospects for further development, so it was selected by the Russian Fund for the Development of Information Technologies (RFRIT) at the end of 2020 to allocate grant support for the development of innovative functionality.

Receiving the TAdviser IT PRIZE award, Margarita Amalitskaya said that a new solution is expected to be announced in the near future, in which new advanced functions of the DLP system will appear.

Digital Transformation Solution of the Year

The winner in this nomination was the SILA Union solution of the company of the same name, designed to build a digital double of the organization and model its business architecture. The award was presented to Elena Silkina, managing partner of SILA Union.

The solution has been actively implemented since 2019 in commercial companies and government organizations to design the most digital transformation and process modeling. Examples of large customers: Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation, Helicopters of Russia (Rostec Group of Companies), RuSat Infrastructure Solutions (Rosatom Group of Companies), TsNIImash (Roskosmos Group of Companies), FSUE Main Radio Frequency Center (Roskomnadzor), Polymetal, etc.

ON SILA Union is a solution for designing, planning and optimizing your organization. The solution helps to regulate the business, analyze and improve the efficiency of business processes, automate operations, and generate regulatory documentation. Mobile service of the year for transport

The TAdviser IT PRIZE award in this nomination was given to the mobile application "Troika: replenishment and verification." It was received by Lev Denisov, CEO of ELBIUS, which is part of KPBS Group of Companies .

"Troika: replenishment and verification" is not just a mobile application, but a full-featured digital platform for remote sale of electronic tickets and their recording on Troika cards directly from the phone using NFC technology. Thus, the application turns the user's smartphone into its own ticket machine: you can choose and purchase various types of tickets (about 100 types: single, for ground transport, "wallet," tickets for the MCC and MDC, preferential tickets for students and schoolchildren, etc.) and instantly record on your card "Troika" or social card.

At the same time, various user-friendly payment methods are supported: bank cards (MIR, Visa, Mastercard), Google Pay, as well as the domestic fast payment system (SBP). The service is integrated not only with payment and banking systems, but also with fiscal data operators, which allows you to form and deliver electronic cash checks to users.

For three and a half years, the service has become one of the most popular and popular among those who use Moscow public transport and other city services that accept cards. The service has a high rating and is one of the top free applications of Google Play and Huawei App Gallery. Over the past two years, service growth has amounted to 450%.

This application users have downloaded more than 3 million times. It became especially relevant during the pandemic, as it saved a person from the need to be in a cluster of people in line for the box office. You can replenish the Troika without leaving home: at work, in a cafe, in any convenient place. Also at any time you can check which tickets are recorded for the Troika, their validity period, the rest of the trips. Against the background of an overall decrease in passenger traffic in 2020 by several times, the application showed almost double the growth, both in the number of active users and in the number of tickets purchased.

The application is included in the list of 500 services for a comfortable life in the conditions of self-isolation of the project "Digital Resistance COVID-19," organized by the ANO "Digital Economy" under the auspices of the Ministry of Digital Affairs of Russia.

Open source IT platform

The winner in this nomination is the Platform V technology platform developed by Sberbank-Technologies for the task of large-scale modernization of the IT landscape of the country's largest bank serving more than 100 million customers. The TAdviser IT PRIZE award was received by Matvey Ulyanychev, Platform V Platform Development Director.

The landscape of the bank was made up of more than a thousand autonomous IT systems, many of which are inherited (legacy), often developed using proprietary technologies. Currently, the bank is migrating existing systems to a new technology platform. The transformation process has already covered more than 100 systems of the bank, and by the end of 2022 it is expected that the share of unified IT systems will reach 80%. The main functionality of the new platform is implemented on the basis of open code, with the ability to develop applications in any programming language, and at the same time it allows the possibility of using the best commercial products.

Platform V is an open technology platform that allows you to build mission-critical systems of any scale with a reliability level of 99.99%, including for geo-distributed applications. It provides fast service and product creation and supports unlimited application scaling using the application sharding approach. Parallel independent application development is possible with an unlimited number of commands.

Tools and patterns have been developed to build front and back office horizontally scalable IT systems, data analysis services, and solve DS and ML problems. The platform includes a framework for creating distributed applications in the cloud, a framework for data analysis tasks, AI and ML. The platform supports a set of tools for all stages of automation of the production process: from idea development to implementation, as well as low-code tools for application development.

The platform development project started five years ago, and a couple of years later the Sberbank migration project began. Infrastructure and application monitoring. Decision of the Year

In addition to the functionality of the classic messenger, eXpress provides such opportunities as document exchange, voice calls and a platform for developing corporate bots. The solution is a corporate communication environment designed for the secure exchange of information between employees of the customer's company, as well as their interactions with partners and counterparties.

The system is available both on devices based on iOS, Android, and in the web interface. Information is protected using three-level encryption on elliptical curves. And the information that is used during communications remains only on the enterprise server.

Thus, eXpress makes it possible to build a convenient system of corporate communications in a closed corporate circuit, while the mechanism of the messenger remains familiar to the user: an intuitive interface, group chats and channels, text exchange, photo and video files, applications for iOS/Android, Desktop and Web.

Using a unified communication environment accelerates decision making and allows you to quickly inform employees and receive feedback from them. In addition, eXpress management is centralized, which means the ability to connect and disconnect users at any time, for example, when an employee leaves. Access to certain information is provided in accordance with the corporate access policy.

The built-in security system eXpress detects attacks in order to gain control of the account in the early stages and blocks them. The solution also prohibits backup to public services.

The communications platform has been eXpress developed since 2015, its active promotion on the market began in 2019. One of the major customers of the eXpress messenger in 2021 was the state corporation Rosatom.

At the award ceremony, Andrei Vratsky emphasized that with the advent of such a messenger in the company, it simultaneously becomes possible to safely deliver corporate data to employees' personal smartphones. The solution is certified in a number of large Russian companies for the level of CPD, personal data processing, has a FSTEC certificate. As noted by Andrei Vratsky, in August of this year the appearance of the protective functions of the KS1 class SKZI is expected.

Mobile application of the year in universities

In this nomination, the prize was given by decision of the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (RUDN). The award was presented to the representative of RUDN Sergey Shirokoy, Igor Vasilyuk, Ramil Aglyamov.

To facilitate the work of users in the RUDN electronic document management system, it was decided to develop a mobile application for the 1C platform. It was possible to create a fault-tolerant high-speed mobile application for "1C": document flow of a state institution, "which completely replaces the" 1C "application on a desktop PC, and allows users to perform operational tasks of the university without linking to the employee's workplace.

With this application, you can view documents, sign them electronically, instruct them, and perform tasks.

The application, which has become one of the elements of the university's painless transition to remote work during the pandemic, is now an integral part of the RUDN document flow and user work.
