History

2018: Creation of ITMO InfoWatch training center

The InfoWatch Group (G), the Russian developer of complete solutions for information security support of the organizations, and St. Petersburg National Research University of Information Technologies, Optics Mechanics (ITMO University) in January, 2018 announced opening of joint training center based on university.

The ITMO InfoWatch training center represents technical and technology base for educational and research activity in information security field. The main idea of the center – to give to students the chance to work with the real incidents which are found at the enterprises. Read more here.

2015: Opening of scientific and education center "EMC - the ITMO University"

On October 15, 2015 the EMS corporation and St. Petersburg National Research University of Information Technologies, Optics Mechanics (NIU ITMO) announced opening of scientific and education center "EMC - the ITMO University". Organization was placed in one of university buildings on Vasilyevsky Island in St. Petersburg.

The agreement is signed on October 10, 2015.

Opening of joint scientific and education center, according to partners, will help to develop the educational initiatives of EMS since 2007 implemented in NIU ITMO.

Reference point of the center "EMC - the ITMO University" - for work on training and development for the benefit of EMS, work in joint works for students – participants educational and research projects of the company and university. The EMS corporation will continue to give support to perspective students (including - by means of charitable grants to students of the first year of training), seminars and lectures, expansion of program implementation of mentoring and training for young specialists of the ITMO university are planned.

It is really a step forward to emergence new joint student's and research projects and also to expansion of practical interaction with new scientific laboratories and new student's audience. The center will integrate all joint directions of our activity and, we are sure, will attract new motivated young people to new educational and scientific projects".
