On April 10, 2017 Software AG announced purchase of Cumulocity GmbH company. Adding of IoT-solutions of Cumulocity will allow the enterprises to integrate IT applications with operational IoT-devices into a portfolio of Software AG, to increase ease of use, flexibility and finally value for business.
Within strategic partnership Software AG added the cloud Cumulocity IoT-platform to the portfolio of software solutions Digital Business Platform in 2015. Sharing of the Digital Business Platform platform and Cumulocity technology for management of applications and devices simplifies application of Internet of Things and provides scalable and flexible management with millions of devices. Besides, the enterprises can integrate boundary IoT devices with any available IT application and unroll on these devices other software products from the structure of Digital Business Platform.
The purchased Cumulocity technologies supplement a portfolio of Software AG in the field of basic program services of Internet of Things. These are tools of the analysis of stream data, integration of the local, cloud and hybrid systems (and now and IoT-devices), technologies of calculations in RAM, dynamic process management and control of boundary devices of Internet of Things.
