2025: Rigla bought the New Pharmacy chain
The Rigla pharmacy chain acquired the Kaliningrad pharmaceutical retailer Linz LLC, which operated under the NewAya Pharmacy brand. This deal became known at the end of May 2025.
The purchase circuit includes 55 pharmacy outlets. 57 pharmacy licenses are issued in the register of Roszdravnadzor for a legal entity.
99.99% of Linz LLC is owned by Rigla LLC, and 0.01% is owned by Protek JSC. Earlier, the founder of Linz LLC was Igor Kastusik, since 2016 he owned a share in the authorized capital of the company in the amount of 97%. The remaining 3% in equal shares were distributed between Ksenia and Galina Kastusik.
Under the brand "NewAya Pharmacy" operated LLC "Linz," registered in the Kaliningrad region in 2003. All newly acquired institutions plan to rebrand in Zdravsiti Pharmacy. Rigla CEO Boris Popov noted that the new expansion brought the total number of network points closer to 6 thousand.
Rigla CEO Boris Popov told Vedomosti that the purchased pharmacies will be rebranded into the main Rigla format - Zdravsiti Pharmacy. He explained the interest in the Kaliningrad region market by the tasks of growing the company's user base and increasing the availability of pharmaceutical goods.
According to DSM Group CEO Sergei Shulyak, the cost of the New Pharmacy is no more than the amount of the network's turnover in two months. Rigla could buy a network for 192.5 million rubles, the newspaper writes.
Shulyak noted that in 2024-2025 the number of offers for the sale of pharmacy chains became much more. He connects this with tax reform: not all networks can cope with the need to pay VAT, which has arisen since 2025.
According to the expert, there are practically no high-quality networks that they want to sell. In this regard, many large players are also considering the acquisition of rights to rent certain areas occupied by pharmacies, he said.[1]
