In December, 2016 the Dassault Systèmes company which developed platform 3DEXPERIENCE for 3D - design, creation digital 3D - models and product lifecycle management (PLM), announced signing of the final agreement on stock acquisition for the purpose of purchase of Next Limit Dynamics company, the developer of technologies of modeling using methods of computing hydrodynamics which are used in the space, transport and automobile building industries and also in the field of high technologies, the energy sector and other industries. The deal was closed on December 7, 2016.

Revenue of Next Limit Dynamics for 2015 made about 1.6 million euros.

Acquisition of the Madrid company Next Limit Dynamics will help Dassault Systèmes to improve the industry solutions for multidimensional modeling within platform 3DEXPERIENCE and to strengthen the positions in the strategic market of computing hydrodynamics (CFD). Software solutions Next Limit Dynamics are used by analysts for the purpose of exact and reliable modeling of dynamics of liquids and gases for the solution of difficult tasks quicker and more effectively, than it was possible using traditional methods. Among customers of Next Limit Dynamics there are such companies as Airbus, AISIN AW, Caterpillar, Doosan, Ford, Google X, Honda, Mitsubishi, NASA, Safran Helicopter Engines and Toyota.

Realistic modeling is used at all stages of work on a product, since study of the concept and finishing with validation at a final stage, and is an obligatory element for successful creation of steady consumer experience. The technology of Next Limit Dynamics company is used for forecasting and optimization of work of difficult projects when it is necessary to simulate behavior of objects in the conditions of fluid flows or gas, for example, of aerodynamic flows for cars, aerodynamic noise from landing devices of airplanes or the lubrication system of difficult drive mechanisms. This methodology allows to increase fuel profitability of cars and to reduce the amount of the harmful substances which are thrown out by them, to reduce noisiness of aircraft and to increase efficiency of the wind turbines used for power generation.
