The Department of Health opens a post-hospital just in order to solve the consequences not in different hospitals, but in one place to provide specialized assistance to this category of patients, "said Alexander Gorelov, deputy director for scientific work at the Central Research Institute of Epidemiology of Rospotrebnadzor, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences on the Dock-tok program on Channel One (quoted by RIA Novosti).

A hospital for patients with severe consequences COVID-19 opens in Moscow

In early February 2021, the Association of Wellness Tourism and Corporate Health reported that 20% of Russian sanatoriums launched special programs to restore after COVID-19. However, demand for these services was lower than supply that month.

The medical director of the association, Mikhail Danilov, expressed the opinion that this could be due to a lack of funds among Russians against the backdrop of an economic slowdown, as well as poor awareness of citizens about the possibility of undergoing high-quality rehabilitation in Russia.

The most frequent complication of coronavirus is acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), they say in the Ministry of Health.
