Working with TalkBank to mortgage the self-employed
On December 30, 2021, the Russian online mortgage management service Refin.Online and the TalkBank fintech platform announced a partnership aimed at simplifying the mortgage lending process for the self-employed. Under it, TalkBank customers with the appropriate status will be able to get a mortgage or refinancing faster at better rates through Refin.Online.
to data RBC Russia According to, 3.5 million self-employed have already been registered in. Frank RG forecasts that their number will increase to 8.4 million people by 2024. This regime taxation allows individuals to secure their activities and work officially in accordance with the requirements of the law.
TalkBank became the twelfth Russian bank approved by the Federal Tax Service to register and provide banking services to the self-employed, and also became a bank capable of conducting the status procedure through a messenger, without visits to the bank branch and the tax office. As of December 2021, the bank operates with more than 50,000 self-employed.
According to Refin.Online and TalkBank, self-employed people who try to get a mortgage on their own spend two to three months on average and face a high risk of refusals from banks. According to companies, the integration of Refin.Online and TalkBank services, combined with the optimal selection of bank offers and taking into account the individual credit history and borrower rating, will reduce the time for obtaining mortgages for the self-employed by an average of 30-50%.
Despite the increase in the number of self-employed, they are still perceived as a high-risk category for most banks. Floating income, the possibility of changing activities, as well as the risk of losing earnings complicate the possibility of obtaining a mortgage for such borrowers. Within the framework of the partnership, we plan to simplify and speed up the process of obtaining mortgages for those small entrepreneurs who face difficulties in interacting with banks, - said Mikhail Chernov, CEO of Refin.Online. |
TalkBank is a virtual bank aimed at making the use of banking products even more convenient. This is especially true for such a category as self-employed. Most often, these are small business entrepreneurs who do not always understand how to organize their activities correctly. Partnership with Refin.Online will also allow us to help them with mortgage lending issues, and we hope that in the future we will be able to further expand our ecosystem of additional services, "said Mikhail Popov, CEO TalkBank. |
