2025: Wildberries sued ₽713 million from Vladislav Bakalchuk for non-payment of loans

In mid-May 2025, the Arbitration Court of the Moscow Region fully satisfied the claim of Wildberries against the WB Development project company, owned by businessman Vladislav Bakalchuk, to recover ₽712,9 million. The court decided to fully satisfy the requirements of the marketplace in a lawsuit filed in connection with the non-return of borrowed funds issued earlier by the company.

According to writes, the Forbes lawsuit was filed by Wildberries on February 20, 2025. Representatives of the combined company Wildberries and Russ (LLC RUSSIAN VIRTUAL LIBRARY"") explained that the demand for the recovery of funds is due to the non-payment by Bakalchuk of a loan previously provided by the marketplace. The repayment of the debt expired, but the funds were not returned, which served as the basis for going to court with a demand for compulsory recovery.

Wildberries won the court against Vladislav Bakalchuk in the amount of 713 million rubles for default on loans

Even before the main decision was made in the case, on April 2, 2025, the Arbitration Court took interim measures on the claim, seizing the funds of WB Development within the amount of the claims. Bakalchuk's company challenged this definition, calling it illegal and unfounded, and also arguing that it was adopted in violation of the norms of substantive and procedural law.

In its complaint, WB Development proposed replacing the arrest of bills with the arrest of 42 pieces of equipment and special vehicles with a total value of ₽717,82 million. Vladislav Bakalchuk said that the seizure of accounts and blocking the activities of contractors actually destabilize business without a court decision on the merits of the dispute. He described such actions as a method of pressure, when more and more requirements are declared in the courts in order to paralyze the company's activities.

In addition to this trial, there is another major dispute between the parties. In March 2025, Wildberries filed a lawsuit with the Moscow Arbitration Court against WB Development to recover a debt of ₽42 billion. In this lawsuit, the retailer claims that Bakalchuk's company received funding for the construction of Wildberries logistics facilities, but was unable to provide reporting on the targeted use of funds.[1]

Wildberries changed the customer company for the construction of warehouses

Filing a lawsuit for 37 billion rubles against Vladislav Bakalchuk

On October 14, 2024, it became known that WB Development LLC, owned by Vladislav Bakalchuk, filed a lawsuit against its owner in the amount of ₽37,09 billion. The statement of claim was sent to the Arbitration Court of the Moscow Region on October 11, 2024.

According to Interfax, VB Development LLC, according to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, is 100% owned by Vladislav Bakalchuk. Earlier, Bakalchuk himself stated that this legal entity is a business unit of Wildberries.

Sources close to the situation claim that the claim is related to losses incurred by VB Development due to Vladislav Bakalchuk's failure to fulfill his obligations to Wildberries. It is assumed that the amounts of advances were withdrawn from the company at the personal direction of Bakalchuk, which became the reason for the lawsuit directly to him personally.

This lawsuit is part of a broader corporate conflict. On October 12, 2024, Tatyana Kim (Bakalchuk), founder of Wildberries and head of RVB LLC, a joint company of Wildberries and Russ, said that Vladislav Bakalchuk and his team had deprived the company of about ₽37 billion and destabilized the business.

Earlier, in September 2024, RVB LLC announced the preparation of a lawsuit against WB Development in the amount of approximately ₽27 billion, claiming that the company did not fulfill its contractual obligations, despite the advance payments listed.

In response to these actions, Vladislav Bakalchuk in early October 2024 filed a counterclaim against Vaildberriz LLC, RVB LLC and his ex-wife. The consideration of this case is scheduled for November 11, 2024 in the Arbitration Court. The court has already refused Bakalchuk to introduce interim measures on his claim to challenge the transfer of marketplace assets to RVB LLC[2]

Wildberries demanded that WB Development return advances of 37 billion rubles

On September 25, 2024, it became known that RVB LLC, the combined structure of the Wildberries marketplace and outdoor advertising operator Russ, requires Vladislav Bakalchuk to return advances totaling 37 billion rubles. We are talking about dozens of contracts for the construction of logistics facilities.

According to RBC, the claims of "RVB" were presented to the company "WB Development," which performs the functions of the project division of Wildberries. Its founder is Vladislav Bakalchuk - the husband of the founder of the marketplace Tatyana Kim (Bakalchuk). It is alleged that Wildberries transferred advance payments to WB Development, but it did not provide documents confirming the provision of services and the performance of work.

At the same time, Vladislav Bakalchuk declares that the debts that RVB is talking about are conditional. According to him, WB Development is building more than 4 million square meters of storage facilities with a total value of over 120 billion rubles. At the same time, subcontractors need to pay an advance payment for the work and purchase of materials - because of this, payables arise.

As soon as the acts on the adoption of the next stage of properly performed work are signed, this debt will disappear. This is a widespread practice in the construction sector, - emphasizes Bakalchuk.

"RVB" notified "WB Development" about the refusal of previously concluded contracts. The combined company began to conclude contracts with its new subsidiary, which will later act as a technical customer during the construction of logistics centers. The new company, RBC notes, has transferred a number of projects previously under the jurisdiction of WB Development. Wildberries emphasizes that the construction of these facilities continues and will be completed as scheduled.[3]
