Jaguar Land Rover joins participants of the program of electric ElectriCity taxi which is implemented in Oslo with the participation of local authorities

It is known that the cars F-Pace, F-Type and also I-Pace from Jaguar Land Rover will take part in the ElectriCity program. A system from plates which power is 50-75 kW is located underground, drivers do not need to worry about connection of the vehicle to the station by means of special physical devices or cables. The idea of the ElectriCity program consists in protecting the environment from influence of CO2 and to save drivers from need to interrupt work and to spend a lot of time for recharge of the accumulator.

Charging plates are placed consistently along routes of taxi drivers, as a rule, in the most popular places of landing and disembarkation of passengers. A system is activated automatically and is capable to provide the car of 50 kW of energy less than in 10 minutes that is quite enough to go to the following order. So, the driver can take without problems advantages of ElectriCity during all working day, without sacrificing at the same time time at the expense of which it would be possible to receive bigger earnings.

Successful implementation of the new program will allow Oslo to receive the status of the first capital where wireless induction charging stations for electric taxi function. By 2024 in Oslo it is going to reduce the number of harmful emissions to a minimum. Moreover, within the Destination Zero program Norway wants to achieve that by 2025 all new cars which will be on sale in the country had zero level of emission of CO2.[1]
