2019: Announcement
On June 21, 2019 it became known of creation in Kyocera of lithium batteries of new generation which, according to developers, are cheaper than analogs in the market. By production of such accumulators expenses on materials are 30% lower.
The created batteries are held for use at the enterprises and in houses. For example, families can use them for storage of energy from solar panels.
Usually similar accumulators cost about $9000 therefore not everything can purchase them, and payback of such investments too remote even in the countries with expensive electricity.
Kyocera tries to solve this problem and created the lithium battery at the reduced price. How many it will cost, is not specified. The company will begin testing of a product at the plant in Osaka during 2019, and the beginning of mass production is planned for financial year which at the end of March of the 2021st calendar.
The new accumulator needs less electrode layers and separators in comparison with modern solutions at the expense of what it is reduced the price productions. Kyocera is going to implement new technology in work of division on release of solar generators to strengthen promotion of renewable energy sources.
Discount fares will cease to affect solar energy which set the energetic companies concerning households and the enterprises using the fixed prices at the end of November, 2019. Then many houses equipped with solar panels, most likely, will want to pass to autonomous a power supply. New batteries of Kyocera will help to save and will increase popularity of renewable energy sources, notes the Nikkei edition.[1]
On June 21, 2019 Kyocera also announced the solar accumulator systems for electric vehicles.
