2021: Announcement of the Mercedes-Benz EQA 250 electrocrossover
On January 20, 2021 the presentation of the cheapest electric crossover in a model range of Mercedes-Benz took place. Innovation received EQA 250, its sales will begin in the spring.
The producer says 300 miles (482 km) of a stock of the course of Mercedes-Benz EQA 250 and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h for 8.9 pages However, concerning a course stock a situation ambiguous — the company made calculation for the NEDC standard, for it a stock makes 486 km. But here by more modern and more exact WLTP method the EQA 250 car can pass up to 426 km on one charge.
It is possible to fill up battery power from 10 to 80% for half an hour, but only when using the station of fast charging. The charger from the normal 11-kilowatt device of alternating current will take 5 hours and 45 minutes.
The combined electricity consumption of EQA is 15.7 kWh on 100 km, such effect in particular managed to be reached thanks to a drag coefficient of the crossover which is equal to 0.28. The producer notes that all aerodynamic development was carried out in a digital medium with the necessary measurements executed in the wind tunnel, confirming high quality of computational modeling.
The machine is constructed based on GLA. The five-door crossover became initial model of a new "green" line of the company under the name EQ. Also the EQB SUV which will be constructed based on GLB will enter it later.
On an interior of Mercedes-Benz EQA 250 it is completely similar to GLA, except for new options of finishing and execution of the menu of a multimedia system and graphics of navigation. The size of the screen varies from 7 to 10.25 inches depending on equipment level, atmospheric illumination and a sports multiwheel are also provided.
The cost of Mercedes-Benz EQA 250 in the European market will be 39,950 euros. Availability of the electric vehicle in Russia by January 20, 2021 it is not announced.[1]
