2020: Announcement of the electric vehicle

At the end of May, 2020 Toyota provided the electric vehicle ProAce Electric on which accumulators the Japanese producer entered a record guarantee. It affects  within 15 years or  distance of 1 million km of a run. However, the warranty agreement requires service of the machine only from official dealers.

From the technical point of view of Toyota ProAce Electric reminds similar models of PSA concern  —  Peugeot e-Expert, Citroën e-Jumpy and Opel Vivaro-e. The innovation from Toyota constructed on EMP2 platform is completed with a 136-strong electric motor and  traction accumulators on  50  or 75  kWh depending on the version. The course stock at the same time varies ranging from 230 up to 330 km. Loading capacity of the van is 1-1.28  tons.

Toyota provided the electric vehicle with a guarantee for the accumulator to 1 million km

Using the 100 kW of Proace Electric fast charger it is possible to load for 80% in 30–45 minutes. Using the normal three-phase charger it is possible to recharge within 2 hours the battery for an electric run in 100 km.

The difference of the French machines from ProAce Electric  generally consists in  a guarantee. On batteries  of the Peugeot and Citroën vans the guarantee makes 8 years or  160 thousand kilometers of a run.

Proace Electric is issued in different sizes: compact, working, long worker, two-seat cabin and truck. The volume of the luggage compartment in these versions varies from 4.6 cubic meters (compact) up to at most 6.6 cubic meters (the long worker).

The beginning of sales of Toyota ProAce Electric in the European market is planned for October, 2020. The producer promises to publish the prices one electric car closer to his emergence in the dealer centers.

Toyota also reported to expand the range of commercial electric vehicles: will transfer the minibuses ProAce, station wagons with short and long base to electric traction and also the onboard trucks of the same name.[1]
