APKIT objectives

The main objectives of the Association are:

  • protection and representation of the interests of members of the Association working in the field of information technology;
  • influence on the development by the representative and executive authorities of the Russian Federation of legal, economic and social policies that meet the professional interests of the members of the Association, and promote its effective implementation;
  • countering monopolism and unfair competition in the field of information technology;
  • promoting the development of companies operating in the field of information technology, building civilized market relations in Russia;
  • promotion of favorable financial and economic conditions for the members of the Association;
  • representation of the interests of members of the Association in international organizations;
  • coordination of business activities of its members, representation and protection of their common property interests.

2022

Joining the T1 Group

On May 31, 2022, the T1 Group announced that it had become a member of the Association of Computer and Information Technology Enterprises (APKIT). Read more here.

Inclusion of GR activities in the Russian IT market in the TAdviser review

In April 2022, TAdviser released a detailed review of Government Relations (GR) practices in the Russian IT industry. It contains information on how GR functions are organized in IT companies, who have the strongest GRs in the market, examples of the most successful lobbying stories and much more. Based on a survey of GR specialists, APKIT in the review became one of the most significant industry associations when it comes to representing the interests of the industry in the authorities. 2021: Creating a council for IT companies to go public

On June 29, 2021, the Association of Computer and Information Technology Enterprises (APKIT) announced the creation of a special council that will help IT companies go public. The new body was called the Council for Attracting Investments and Entering the Public Market of IT Companies. Read more here.

2002: Obtaining a certificate from the Moscow Registration Chamber

On January 17, 2002, the Association received a registration certificate from the Moscow Registration Chamber.

2001: Constituent Assembly of AP KIT

In early 2001, some computer business companies realized the need to create an IT industry or IT industry in Russia. One of the steps towards the industry could be the creation of a public organization expressing and protecting the interests of the industry. Fall 2001 leading IT companies, after a series of consulting meetings, agreed to create a non-profit Association of Computer and Information Technology Enterprises (AP KIT).

2022: Re-election of the Management Board

On October 25, 2022, the annual General Meeting of APKIT (Association of Computer and Information Technology Enterprises) members was held, at which the members of the Association discussed the results of the work for the year, considered the prospects for the economy and IT-Business, and also elected the Board.

Following the voting results, the Management Board included:

APKIT represents interests the Russian IT-industries in the domestic and foreign markets, participates in the entire development agenda, digital economy discusses and rules new program and strategic documents of the industry, forms a consolidated position of players IT market on key issues and determines a set of initiatives that will ensure the further development of IT in.
