2024

Rostec will transfer more than 800 enterprises to Russian software

As representatives of "Rostec" shared with TAdviser on April 5, 2024, the main vector of the digital transformation of the state corporation is the creation of a single digital space throughout the production pipeline based on domestic solutions. According to Maxim Valin, director of digital transformation at Rostec, the state corporation is faced with the task of completely abandoning imported software and transferring more than eight hundred enterprises in almost 60 regions of the country to domestic software.

As of the beginning of April 2024, Rostec has already solved the primary tasks in terms of providing enterprises with IT tools to preserve their rhythmic work. However, the implementation of digital transformation initiatives faces a number of objective restrictions related to the specifics of industry software and hardware. Their overcoming is possible in the medium and long term, according to the state corporation. Rostec also shared which software classes and types of IT equipment are the most dependent on imports and what steps are being taken to reduce this dependence.

2017

Creation of the company "National Technologies" for the production of DSS required by the "Spring Law"

On October 31, 2017, National Technologies LLC was registered, 51% of which belongs to the Avtomatika concern, 49% to KNS Group. Smart City Technology Presentation

2015

Plan to completely outsource IT services

Rostec is developing a technical policy that will contain basic rules and standards in the field of information technology, and one of the standards will be a complete transfer of IT services to outsourcing. This was reported in the annual report of the corporation, published in July 2015.

By the time the technical policy was developed, Rostec had already outsourced part of the functionality related to information technology to its infrastructure subsidiary RT-Inform. The report states that in August 2014, the corporation's IT infrastructure support service was transferred to this structure. The number of employees of the IT department of Rostec itself with the advent of RT-Inform decreased by 85, the data are given in the report.

In the future, Rostec will distribute IT processes outsourced between its infrastructure subsidiary RT-Inform and external contractors

In July 2015, Rostec announced the selection of a contractor for the provision of services[2] for the provision and maintenance of IT services under a large contract for 1.2 billion rubles. The set of services includes support for users of corporate systems, support for information systems and system-wide services of the corporation, warranty and post-warranty support for equipment, backup management, provision of virtual desktops (DaaS), printing service and a number of other services.

In addition to its own resources to support IT processes, Rostec plans to attract external contractors. At the same time, the state corporation could not explain to TAdviser how in the future the processes transferred to outsourcing will be distributed between RT-Inform and external contractors.

"Now RT-Inform really performs part of the IT functions, but in the foreseeable future third-party contractors will also be involved - this is necessary to increase the efficiency of IT processes. A detailed plan for the redistribution of functions between RT-Inform and third-party companies is in development and will be announced later, "said TAdviser in Rostec.

Earlier, the company told TAdviser that it had already used outsourcing services to support systems from third-party contractors. For example, Korus Consulting supports EDMS, Novikombank and CFT support the unified corporate treasury system, and the Central Research Institute of Electronics supports the information and analytical system .
