The company provides a range of IT services from design to commissioning of IT infrastructure and complex solutions, as well as their subsequent maintenance.

Performance indicators
The financial year in DEPO Computers is calculated from April 1 to March 31.
2022: Revenue growth by 100% to RUB 10.1 billion
At the end of 2022, the Russian company Depo Computers, which produces server equipment and personal computers, demonstrated revenue of 10.1 billion rubles (revenue of DEPO Electronics LLC from the financial statements for 2021-2022, excluding VAT). This is almost 100% more than the result for the previous year, when sales amounted to 5.1 billion rubles. Such figures are indicated in the data of the Federal Tax Service for Russian Accounting Standards (RAS), published on April 24, 2023. In the ranking " TAdviser100: The largest IT companies in Russia 2023," such an indicator allowed the company to take 55th place.
According to reports, the CNews financial indicators of Depo Computers went up sharply against the background of increased demand for Russian computing equipment. Many foreign suppliers in the current geopolitical situation left the market, and RUSSIAN FEDERATION state customers began to actively introduce import substitution programs. As a result, the number of orders from Russian suppliers of equipment has significantly increased.
Net profit of Depo Computers in 2022 reached 533.4 million rubles against 147 million rubles a year earlier. Thus, according to this indicator, the growth exceeded 260%. The company's balance sheet on an annualized basis increased from 5.8 billion rubles to 9.6 billion rubles: the increase was at the level of 65%. It is noted that the indicators are growing rapidly, including due to the rise in price of computer equipment, which is of Russian origin.
According to Depo Computers itself, the company "provides a basis for creating technological sovereignty of Russia in the era of digital transformation." Depo Computers own production combines 11 conveyor lines, and the network of service centers includes more than 200 points. Many of the company's solutions are included in the Register of Industrial Products Produced in the Russian Federation: these are, in particular, fault-tolerant servers for building an infrastructure with a high density of computing resources.[1]

2024: Top executives at Depo Computers get up to seven years in prison in supply case for MoD
On October 14, 2024, the Krasnogorsk City Court of the Moscow Region sentenced eleven top managers of Depo Computers (former and current) in a case of fraud as part of deliveries for the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. The defendants received prison sentences from five to seven years in a general regime colony.
According to CNews, Irisov A.A., Eskin S.V., Balabanov M.A. (as of the indicated date, commercial director of NTC, 3Logic Group), Voranovsky A.A., Gorshkov A.A., Koveshnikov M.V., Kochepasov S.A. (director of business development of the company "Aquarius"), Lebedinets A.V., Orlov, A.rochkin A.M. Solovyov taken into custody in the hall. In addition to prison terms, a fine of 500 thousand rubles was imposed on each of them .
The case in question was opened in August 2018. It concerns the contract of the Ministry of Defense with Antey LLC, which was concluded in 2016. The fact of embezzlement of budget funds was established when Antei LLC supplied a batch of laptops and USB drives under an agreement with the Russian Ministry of Defense.
It is reported that one of the first arrested in this criminal case was Alexei Irisov, at that time - the general director of Depot Electronics: in 2018 he was taken into custody, and after two months of detention he was transferred to house arrest. In July 2022, it became known about the absentee arrest of Sergei Eskin, the key owner of Depot Electronics, who was put on the international wanted list. But on September 19, 2022, the decision to arrest him in absentia was canceled.
Balabanov's lawyer said that the case was initiated under Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of Russia - "fraud committed by an organized group or on an especially large scale." The maximum punishment under this article is 10 years in prison and a fine of up to 1 million rubles.[2]
2023: New defendants and details appeared in the criminal case on the state contract of the Ministry of Defense with the "daughter" of Depo Computers
Until May 24, 2023, it is expected to complete the preliminary investigation in the criminal case on the state contract of Antey LLC, the subsidiary of Depot Electronics (operates on the market under the Depo Computers brand), p. Ministry of Defence Russia This follows from the decision of the Basmanny Court, published in the database of courts Moscow following the meeting held at the end of March 2023[3]
The case was initiated back in August 2018 by the Investigative Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia on the grounds of a crime under Part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, on the fact of embezzlement of budget funds during the supply of external memory devices to Antey LLC under a state contract with the Russian Ministry of Defense.
The state contract for the supply, which interested law enforcement agencies, was concluded in 2016. The Kommersant newspaper wrote that, according to the investigation, during the implementation of the contract, violations were committed, expressed in overestimation of the cost, as well as "non-compliance with the conditions for the country of production of one of the items of the equipment produced[4].
One of the first arrested in the criminal case was Alexei Irisov, at that time - the general director of Depot Electronics. According to the database of legal entities Kontur.Fokus, "he owns a small share in the company - 1% in the authorized capital. His lawyer in 2018 stated that the contract with the Ministry of Defense "was executed in a timely manner and in full, no claims were received from the state customer[5].
And in July 2022, it became known about the absentee arrest of the key owner of Depot Electronics, businessman Sergei Eskin. He was put on the international wanted list, follows from the published court documents[6].
Now, along with Alexei Irisov, the database of Moscow courts lists new persons involved in this case[7]: M.A. Balabanov, A.A. Voranovsky, Gorshkov A.A., Koveshnikov M.V., Kochepasov S.A., Lebedinets A.V., Orlov A.V. A.M. Solovyov
All of them and Alexei Irisov pass under Art. 159, part 4 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fraud committed by an organized group or on an especially large scale). They were charged in March and April 2022, and the charge in the final version - in February and March 2023, follows from the published appeal decision of the Basmanny Court[8].
TAdviser sent a request to Depo Computers, but at the time of publication of the material, the company could not clarify to TAdviser who is who from the list above, and whether there are current employees of the company among them.
The surnames and initials of the names and patronymics of a number of persons from the list coincide with similar data of persons who previously appeared in open sources as related to Depo Computers. For example, the company had a director of the department for work with government agencies named M.A. Balabanov, and a man named M.V. Koveshnikov since 2019 was listed as the general director in the company LLC "Dick," where at that time the founder was Sergey Eskin. In early 2021, this company was liquidated.
A person named S.A. Kochepasov appears as an applicant for a number of previously obtained certificates of conformity for various products of trading Depo and DEPO Computers brands. In the same capacity, the applicant for certificates for Depo products with name A.V. Lebedinets is also present in public databases.
Alexey Orlov, present in the list, is a lawyer who, according to the investigation, provided legal advice to employees of Depot Electronics LLC and Antey LLC. The court document published in the Moscow court database of August 2022 briefly summarizes the version of the investigation about its role in this story:
Orlov A.V. has deep knowledge in the field of public procurement, controlled the employees of Antey LLC and Depot Electronics LLC when preparing documents for the conclusion of a state contract with the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation containing deliberately false information[9]. |
Orlov A.V. maintains contact "with the organizer of the criminal group, who disappeared from the investigation authorities, informing him about the progress of the investigation of the criminal case," said at the same time in the petition of the investigator, voiced in court.
And at the end of March 2023, the Basmanny Court, in particular, considered the case at the request of the investigation to establish a certain period for familiarizing the accused with the materials of the criminal case. Their volume is 165 volumes plus material evidence and other materials attached to the protocols of investigative actions, as well as 4 volumes of additional materials.
The defendants began familiarizing themselves with the case materials in April and May 2022. Now all of them have set a deadline until April 7, 2023.
The court believes that enough time was allocated to familiarize themselves with the case materials, including because "the accused worked for a long time in senior positions in a commercial organization. The performance of duties in this area was associated with significant document flow, study, processing and analysis of a large amount of service documentation. " And Alexey Orlov "has the status of a lawyer, that is, has professional knowledge in the field of jurisprudence[10] of[11].

2011
The share of servers in revenue exceeded 50%
2011 revenue plan: $210-215 million. If in 2007 the share of servers in DEPO revenue was 15%, then in the 1 half of the 2011 - exceeded 50%, which allowed the company to enter the Top 3 of the Russian market. 15% of DEPO's revenue as of September 2011 comes from IT services. The company reduced the supply of computers to retail by 5 times - from 200 thousand. PC in 2007 to 40 thousand (forecast) in 2011

Engineering and system integration projects accounted for 35% of the company's turnover, production - 65%. Sergey [22]
Change of strategy
September 2011: DEPO can no longer be considered just a collector of personal computers, the company says. This is confirmed by the figures: if in 2007 the share of servers in DEPO revenue was 15%, then in the 1 half of the 2011 - exceeded 50%, which allowed the company to enter the Top 3 of the Russian market. 15% of Depo's revenue today comes from IT services. The company reduced the supply of computers to retail by 5 times - from 200 thousand. PC in 2007 to 40 thousand (forecast) in 2011
DEPO CEO Sergei Eskin calls his company engineering - "this is not only a system integrator or IT service provider, it is an effective IT manager who can satisfy literally any business task: from the production of equipment for unique needs to IT management as an outsourcer"[23]
In this concept of engineering, according to Eskin, the main difference between DEPO Computers and most Russian system integrators: "In projects, we use 80% of what we ourselves produce, due to our own production, we give the customer the best prices and optimal, without excess, functionality."
This transformation is not the first carried out by Sergey Eskin. The business from which DEPO arose was created in the 1990s. as the distribution company Diline (part of the IBS holding), and its own PCs were launched on the market in the early 2000s. The company finally abandoned the distribution business during the crisis period 2008-2009.
"When we created Diline, we focused on the Merysell experience when we started manufacturing computers - equal to Dell. Now we are building an engineering company and IBM is an example for us, "says Eskin.
"But that doesn't mean we'll sell the PC business," he adds. "The principle that we adhere to is to help solve customer problems, and not just sell certain products to him."
Despite comparing its business model with IBM, DEPO considers HP to be the main competitor in Russia. "They, unlike IBM, have a well-built partner channel," says Eskin.
DEPO plans to compete with HP at the expense of lower prices for its products and services. "In servers, the difference with HP is on average 25%, in projects - 35-40%," said the CEO of DEPO. "This is achieved due to the fact that we do not offer redundant solutions."
For 2011, DEPO supplied 80% of standard products and 20% of unique ones. "After 2 years, we aim to make this ratio 50 to 50, and after 5 years - 20 to 80," the company says.
The number of employees in 2011 was 600 people: 200 sales specialists, 200 plant employees, 200 engineers and office employees, of which 30 were product managers, 20 were employees of the research center.
2010: Reduced revenue and increased profitability
By reducing PC shipments, DEPO reduced revenue several times to $170 million in 2010. But business profitability increased - from 7% in 2007 to 25% in 2010.
In 2010, more than 300 complex projects were implemented for corporate customers. [24]
2009
44% reduction in fiscal year-on-year revenue
In the 2008 fiscal year (ended March 31, 2009), revenue amounted to about $290 million (-44%), according to analyst Golosnaya from Troika Dialog (the company itself did not publish official statements for the 2008 fiscal year).
The largest PC manufacturer in the Russian Federation in the 1st half of the year
According to Gartner, DEPO Computers is the largest Russian PC assembler. In the first half of 2009, the company sold 110.7 thousand computers and occupied 4.2% of the Russian market.
The revenue plan for 2009 is $200-250 million, DEPO President Sergei Eskin said in an interview with CNews. About 40% of revenue, he said, came in the first two quarters, about 60% - in the second two.
"Our profitability is at the level of Dell," says Sergey Eskin. - Operating profitability - 18-20%, in terms of EBITDA - about 5.5%, which is extremely good for a production and sales company. "
The fall in sales in the company was recorded mainly in third-party products.
"In connection with the crisis, we have practically abandoned distribution - the legacy of the distribution company," says Eskin. - For DEPO products - the fall was by 15-20%. " Now DEPO Computers is making a profit, Sergey Eskin told CNews: "This year the profit will be more than the previous one."
According to the head of the company, this was achieved by reducing unnecessary people, unnecessary inventories and unnecessary resources.
"There are functions directly related to turnover, such as warehouse transactions," explains Eskin. - Their decrease led to a decrease in the number of people. Different parts of the company shrank in different ways. For example, at the peak of the crisis, we stopped all projects where the return was postponed for more than three months. The people on the project teams have been downsized. " Among such projects is Performance PC (high-performance PCs for home users worth from $3 thousand), launched in the fall of 2008. "This direction works, but it has no development, so we were forced to dissolve the team," says Eskin Sergey. The total reduction in personnel in DEPO, according to the general director, amounted to about 20-25%.
Analysts surveyed by CNews estimate DEPO debt at $30 million. In May 2009, the president of the IBS group, Natoliy Karachinsky, named the same amount in an interview with PCWeek.
Depo Computers branch from IBS
On September 4, IBS Group Holding officially announced the sale of its PC and server assembly business - DEPO Computers. 100% of DEPO's shares were bought out by its management. According to Eduard Voronetsky, CEO of K-Systems, about a year before the official announcement of the deal to transfer control of the company from IBS Group Holding to management, there was unofficial information on the market that Sergey Eskin, CEO of the company, became the main shareholder of DEPO.
Rumors about IBS's intention to get rid of iron production have been circulating on the market since the end of 2008, and in April 2009, VTB specialists confirmed this in their review. Analysts explained this by the low profitability of computer production, which, according to Finam estimates, does not exceed 2-4%.
The amount of the transaction, according to Eduard Voronetsky, General Director of K-Systems, was zero:
"DEPO wasweighed down by debt and was most likely simply given to management." However, in "Finam" the cost of DEPO was estimated much higher. "The amount of a possible transaction, according to our approximate estimates, may amount to about $60-70 million (taking into account a debt of $30 million)," says Maxim Klyagin, an analyst at Finam Management Management. "Despite the current unfavorable market conditions for PCs and equipment (against the background of falling demand, there is a significant, about 30%, decline in sales), the long-term prospects of the PC assembler can be assessed as quite attractive."
A top executive at another computer assembler also rates Depo's position as "pretty strong."
"Probably, in the context of the crisis, IBS could not find a buyer from the outside, ready to take a chance and acquire a company with a strong brand on the one hand, and large loan debts on the other," he argues on condition of anonymity. - We are talking, rather, about a formal change of owners, who were found "in the near circle." Today, DEPO's positions are quite strong, they are present both in Moscow and in the regions, they poured well into them in order to keep them, but, apparently, the source has dried up. "
Recall that as of March 31, 2009, VTB Capital analysts estimated the total debt of the entire IBS Group at $68 million.
2008
Fiscal revenue $516 million
In fiscal year 2007 (ended March 31, 2008) DEPO's revenue was $516 million.
Opening the System Integration Direction
In 2008, the company opened the direction of system integration. [25]
"DEPO Computers has an absolutely market business model, so we must maintain a very high level of competitiveness, stable quality and always go only where there is a real prospect," emphasizes Sergey Eskin. - That is why the future of the business of DEPO Computers is in the engineering of corporate IT, effective management of IT infrastructures of companies of any scale in the capital and regions. At the same time, we do not strive to achieve record business growth rates. Our strategic goal is to increase the quality of solutions and services for corporate customers in the most popular and profitable market segments. "
2007: DEPO's Millionth PC
DEPO Computers sold a million-dollar computer under its own brand. [26]
2005: Second place in the Russian PC market
In Q3 2005, DEPO took second place in the Russian PC market after Formosa (Gartner data).
