2023: Revenue growth tripled to RUB 199.6 billion
Revenue Geely Russia in 2023 reached 199.6 billion, rubles which is three times more than a year earlier. Net profit of the company amounted to 3.9 billion rubles against 16.8 billion rubles of net profit registered as a result of activities in 2022. This is evidenced by the data of the financial statements, which Gili-Motors LLC disclosed in April 2024.
According to Interfax, referring to the company's materials, the total debt of Geely's subsidiary in the Russian Federation by the end of 2023 amounted to 48.5 billion rubles, an increase of 3.4 times compared to the previous year. In particular, accounts payable increased from 13 billion to 44.6 billion rubles.
Geely explains that the report does not include discounts and bonuses of 28.2 billion rubles, which were provided to dealers in 2023. Compared to 2022, the volume of such bonuses increased more than 6 times. The cost of sales of the company in 2023 doubled and reached 195.3 billion rubles.
According to the estimates of the analytical agency Avtostat, in 2023 93,553 cars manufactured by the Geely group were sold in Russia, which is 3.5 times more than a year earlier. This allowed the brand to take fourth place in sales on the Russian market with a share of 8.8% against 4.3% in 2022. The most popular Geely model on the Russian market in 2023 was the compact Coolray crossover, which sold 38,220 copies (2.9 times growth).
In second place in terms of demand is the mid-size crossover Geely Monjaro, which entered the Russian market in March 2023 and was bought in the amount of 20,423 by the end of the same year. According to the results of 2023, the three most popular Geely models included the Geely Atlas Pro crossover - 17,679 sold cars (an increase of 2.4 times compared to 2022).[1]
