2022: Opening of a representative office in Russia

As it became known in mid-January 2022, the Chinese automaker Lynk & Co, which is part of the Geely group, opened a representative office in Russia, is recruiting employees there and has already found a head of public relations.

In a conversation with Motor, Elena Gorlova, an official representative of Lynk & Co in Russia, said that the company was preparing for launch by mid-January 2022, but did not name specific dates for the appearance of brand cars from Russian dealers. The fact is that before the model officially goes on sale, it must undergo a long certification procedure, which takes more than one and not two months, the publication explains.

A new car brand from China came to Russia - Lynk & Co

In China, by January 2022, the Lynk & Co brand is represented by an SUV with an index of 01, hatchback 02, crossover 03, cross-coupe 05, compact crossover 06 and flagship SUV 09, which are offered both with traditional internal combustion engines and with hybrid power plants. There are no models with an index of 04 in the Lynk & Co range, which may be due to the inherent tetraphobia of the Chinese, that is, the fear of the number 4, which is often associated with death.

Earlier, the automaker entered the European market. The brand launched the so-called concept storages in several cities of Sweden and Germany, as well as in Belgium and the Netherlands, where it offers to take the 01 crossover by subscription.

Electrified machines will gradually fill the Russian market. That is why the Chinese manufacturer Lynk & Co wants to have time to get its share, having won the attention of buyers. The main advantage of brand cars can be an affordable price.

The Lynk & Co brand, focused on youth and technology, was originally conceived as international, but so far only the forces of racing sedans participating in the WTCR championship have gone beyond China.^[1]
