2024: Opening of the Master's Program "Artificial Intelligence and Big Data in Media Communications"

Yandex and the Faculty of Journalism of Moscow State University named after MV Lomonosov open the master's program "Artificial Intelligence and Big Data in Media Communications." Graduates will confidently work with generative tools that are already actively used in the media today. Enrollment will begin in the summer of 2024. Yandex announced this on April 25, 2024.

Students will learn tools to work with text, generate images and ideas for projects and articles, develop content plans, analyze audiences and solve other problems. Specialists with such skills will be in demand on the market. They will be able to create media projects using neural networks, develop marketing strategies for them, optimize editorial processes, analyze and visualize big data.

The program was created by university teachers and leading Yandex experts. It includes both humanitarian disciplines and courses in data analysis and work with neural networks. There will be eight subjects in total, including media and big data, statistical analysis, mathematical linguistics, legal and ethical regulation of AI. Classes on big data and artificial intelligence in media projects will be conducted by Yandex employees.

Graduates of undergraduate studies of any direction can undergo training. For admission, you need to pass the entrance exam, testing knowledge in media theory, media economics and media management, media sociology and other areas of media communications. Training on a budgetary basis is possible. Classes will begin in the fall of 2024.
