2021: Trial of fraudsters who stole 5 million rubles from the bank
In December 2021, the prosecutor's office requested from 6 to 8 years in prison for the three accused. Three fraudsters from the fake security service Dmitry Semin, Sergey Lapin and Alexey Kharitonov deceived employees of Ak Bars and Realist banks by phone. They introduced themselves as security officers and asked to transfer the money to the specified account. As a result, the Moscow bank lost 5 million rubles, the Tatarstan bank - 4 million. The fraudster told the woman he was a bank security officer and was doing "posting tests." He got a cashier from Tatarstan and asked to transfer first 1 ruble to the account indicated by him, and then 4 million. The fraudster said that now she needs to restart her computer and the transaction is canceled. But that didn't happen.
The unlucky cashier immediately reported the incident to her superiors, and they told the police. Funds in the account indicated by the swindler were blocked, but out of 4 million rubles only 500 thousand remained there, the rest of the money was promptly withdrawn in the Moscow branch of Ak Bars. A similar situation occurred in "Realist."
2020
Change of corporate name to Realist Bank JSC
On September 14, 2020, BaikalInvestBank announced a change in its corporate name to Realist Bank. Full corporate name of the bank: Realist Bank Joint-Stock Company; abbreviated: Realist Bank JSC.
The necessary changes were made to the bank's constituent documents and the Unified State Register of Legal Entities (USRUL).
Previously, the head office of the bank was located in Irkutsk, and it was in this region that the main part of its activities was concentrated. As it developed, it became a federal bank, the head office was transferred to Moscow, and the legal address was changed. As of September 2020, the bank is represented in 38 cities of various regions of Russia. In this regard, it was decided to change the name in such a way that it did not cause associations with any one region of the country and, at the same time, reflected the values of the bank.
According to representatives of Realist Bank, renaming will not entail any changes in the rights and obligations of the organization in relation to customers and partners. Re-execution of agreements using the updated name of the bank is not required, all agreements and agreements previously concluded with the bank remain valid.
Changing the name of the bank also does not entail a change in the organizational and legal form, OGRN, TIN, BIC, correspondent account, address, license number and other bank details and customer service procedure
