Launch of taxi service in Uzbekistan
Marketplace Wildberries launched its own taxi service in Uzbekistan WB Taxi. The company announced this at the end of November 2025.
According to Spot, at the first stage, the project works in the format of a "closed club." This will allow Wildberries to provide a controlled start and provide customers with comfortable conditions of use. The first wave of service users included employees and partners of the marketplace.
WB Taxi passengers are promised favorable fares, high car delivery speed, as well as cashback in the amount of 50% of the cost of a trip in watermelons - the company's proprietary virtual currency. Virtual currency will be charged with non-cash payment for trips.
WB Taxi drivers will be provided with comfortable cooperation conditions, including a low aggregator commission and guaranteed income per shift, subject to service quality parameters. The company plans to attract drivers on favorable terms to ensure that there are enough cars in the system.
The head of WB Taxi Anatoly Smorgonsky noted that the start in the format of a closed club will allow to pay maximum attention to the development of the service. The company will launch the product gradually, closely monitoring the operation of all elements of the system. Feedback from club members will help improve the service and prepare for scaling.
In the future, plans for the WB Taxi service in Uzbekistan include expanding the geography of work and gradually opening up to a wide audience. After completing testing in the format of a closed club, the company plans to provide access to the service to all interested users.
WB Taxi was registered in June 2025, according to the USRPO. A company with an authorized fund of 500 thousand soums is engaged in taxi activities. The founders are WB Int Export with a share of 99%, which is a subsidiary of Wildberries, and the combined company RVB LLC with a share of 1%.[1]
