2018: Appointment of heads in the region Emerging markets

The Citrix company announced on August 10, 2018 the Viki Rentzepi, Pyotr Faderski's appointment and Sevi Tyufekchi to executive positions. According to the company, appointments will allow Citrix to optimize support of customers and partners in the region Emerging markets which was created in 2018 earlier and includes Russia and the CIS, countries of Eastern Europe (Turkey, Israel and the countries of Southeast Europe), the countries of the Middle East and Africa. Oleg Ivanov is appointed the chief representative

Since May, 2013 an area director of Citrix in Russia and the CIS countries is Oleg Ivanov.

By this time the company announced the following examples of successful projects of representative office of Citrix in Russia and the CIS countries:

• Citrix provided the solution for the organization of secure system of access to virtual desktops at the international school "Miras"
• Development of strategy of mobility and protection of corporate information in "MUEC" through Citrix XenMobile
• The Raketa company successfully implemented DaaS-service of remote access to virtual desktops of Windows based on solutions of Citrix
• The TRUST bank implements a single system of virtual desktops on the basis of solutions of Citrix
• Svyaznoy supports work of regional branches and mobile users using solutions of Citrix
• Creation of complexes of terminal access based on the software of Citrix XenApp to JSC RZD

Growth rates - more than 20%

At the end of 2013 business of Citrix in Russia showed height more than 20%, the area director of the company in Russia and the CIS countries Oleg Ivanov told TAdviser. Among the directions which grew most in high gear he noted virtualization of jobs and applications and also "explosive growth" on the network products Citrix -NetScaler and CloudBridge.

According to Ivanov, Russia and Turkey are two countries showing the stable two-digit growth of business of Citrix in the region of Central and Eastern Europe which also Israel and the Balkans treat.

Oleg Ivanov notes that if before his company observed in Russia demand for projects of virtualization within 1-1.5 thousand jobs, then in 2013 the trend of rather large number of projects from big customers where it is about virtualization of 5-10 thousand jobs was designated. The area director of Citrix in Russia and the CIS countries connects it with the fact that large customers for the last few years prepared all necessary infrastructure for transition to virtualization of jobs.

One of trends in a segment of VDI in Russia in 2013 in Citrix call increase in scale of such projects.

Regarding a partner network in Russia Oleg Ivanov notes emergence in Citrix company in addition to Softline of one more platinum partner -IBS Platformix. In 2014 Citrix is going to attract not less than 4 new platinum partners and not less than 10 gold, he adds.

Citrix pays the main attention in a partner network in Russia to two key certifications: according to network solutions and the corporate mobility which is also a fast-growing segment the market.

In total as of spring of 2014 Citrix in Russia has over 40 constantly selling partners. In the market of the CIS, in particular in Kazakhstan, the company has 5 such partners, and approximately the same situation across Belarus and Ukraine. Oleg Ivanov notes that the partner network of Citrix, including constantly selling partners, grows in the region, and the company began to cover regions of Russia more effectively.

In addition to certification for partners Citrix in Russia also has two training centers where on products of the company the specialists who are directly working with them can be trained. Oleg Ivanov notes that recently together with growth of the channel also the number of the certified specialists grows, but in the last queue because they are certified by partners.

At the same time in Citrix note a trend that very many big customers of the company certify the employees accompanying and supporting solutions of vendor too. According to the area director of Citrix in Russia and the CIS countries for 2013 over 10 big customers in the federal distributed companies certified the engineers.

2004: Opening of office in Russia

On August 4, 2004 the representative office of Citrix in Russia and the CIS countries was open.
