All-Russian Research Institute of Automation named after N. L. Dukhov VNIIA
The All-Russian Research Institute of Automation named after N.L. Dukhov (VNIIA) was founded in 1954, and is one of the leading enterprises of Rosatom State Corporation. The activities of the institute were marked by two orders of the Red Banner of Labor (1960, 1982) and the Order of the October Revolution (1982).
IT infrastructure FSUE VNIIA named after N.L. Dukhov
Functional framework of TIS APUDP "Prism"
Management supercomputer
- 1000 + jobs per day
- Up to 100 servers per job
Collection of data on the program operation:
- Hardware layer
- Network layer
- System level
- Transfer Library Layer
- Application layer
Job Scheduling
- The presence of models allows you to evaluate not only the work of one task
- Based on the models, the plan execution model and its evaluation can be obtained
- Based on estimates, you can decide which plan is the best
- This allows directional brute force algorithms to be used to find the best plan
- Based on this principle, a task management system has been developed
Monitoring system
Monitoring object:
- 5 sites
- 12 Data centers and server rooms
- dozens of engineering infrastructure units
- hundreds of servers
- for each piece of equipment, dozens of monitored parameters.
- more than 300GB data per day
Data Research Objectives:
- Determination of anomalies
- Building Statistical Models
- Event prediction
Allowed:
- Identify deviations that could lead to problems
- Identify problems early
- Detect non-standard failures
In Instrument Engineering
- Design documentation
- R&D and R&D reports
- Material transfer transactions
- Test and measurement results
- HPC Results
- The life story of the product
- Organizational and administrative documents
- Personnel actions (calls, movements, actions on the computer...)
- Information on equipment condition and environmental conditions
- Social networks of scientists
Purposes
- Finding Similar Design Solutions
- Search for previously detected patterns in the operation of the equipment
- Reduction of labour intensity of development and manufacturing
- Operational Actions with Materials
- Decrease in number of test samples
- Building employee profiles to optimize work and evaluation
- Tracking of equipment condition and transition to repairs by actual condition
- Legal evaluation of documentation and minimization of duplication

History
2023: Russian scientists move a step closer to universal quantum computer
Russian scientists at MISIS University and the Russian Quantum Center (RCC) together with colleagues from the Moscow State Technical University named after N.E. Bauman and FSUE "VNIIA named after N.L. Dukhova" proposed and demonstrated a method for implementing a fast two-cube operation on superconducting qubits-flaxoniums, which can form the basis of scalable and error-resistant quantum processors. Thus, Russian scientists have become one step closer to creating a universal quantum computer capable of solving problems in various fields, for example, for modeling molecular and chemical reactions, which will be the key to the further development of pharmaceuticals and materials science. Such information was shared with the TAdviser portal on November 27, 2023 by representatives of MISIS. Read more here.
2019: Staff of VNIIA named after N.L. Dukhova
As of 2019, the staff of VNIIA named after N.L. Dukhova - about 6,000 people, including more than 200 candidates and doctors of sciences.
VNIIA is located at five sites: in the Central, Southern and North-Eastern administrative districts of Moscow and in the city of Mytishchi, Moscow Region.

2014: Designation of the Federal Nuclear Organization
In 2014, by decree of the President of the Russian Federation, the enterprise was given a special status of the Federal Nuclear Organization.
FSUE VNIIA named after N.L. Dukhova is a large research and production center. FSUE VNIIA is the developer of a significant part of the nuclear ammunition of Russia and is part of the nuclear weapons complex of the State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom. The main activities of the institute are conducting search, research and development work, experimental and serial production of products on defense and civilian topics. VNIIA is the leader in the country in the work of the APCS of nuclear facilities, the creation and use of portable neutron generators in civil industries.
2011: Establishment of the Centre for Basic and Applied Research
In order to expand theoretical research in 2011, the Center for Basic and Applied Research was created as part of FSUE VNIIA.
