2019: Sovcombank bought 25% of the company
In April 2019, Sovcombank announced the purchase of 25% of the PBX. It robots call centers of the country's largest companies, including Sovcombank. In particular, cooperation with the bank has been ongoing since 2017.
When a client calls the bank's call center, he is answered by a robot that closes situations of the same type in which a person follows a standard script. Non-standard situations are still handled by live operators, but there are fewer such situations, Sovcombank notes.
| The investment is needed to expand the development team and improve the artificial intelligence platform. Sovcombank acts exclusively as a financial investor, and will not participate in the operational management of the company, - explained Dmitry Gusev, Chairman of the Board of Sovcombank. |
From 2014-2017, PBX revenue showed stable growth. The company says that with the support of Sovcombank they plan to bring the artificial intelligence of their solutions to a fundamentally new level.
PBX is not the only technology company where Sovcombank has bought a stake over the past couple of years.
