2024: Smartway bought Bnovo

The companies did not disclose the financial and other parameters of the contract. Denis Matyukhin, chairman of the board of directors of the Aeroclub Group of Companies, in a conversation with the publication, estimated the cost of Bnovo at about 1 billion rubles. Such investments will pay off for a long time, he said.

After the deal, Bnovo employees will retain their positions in the company, and Valentin Miklyaev said that he was leaving his head of the company to engage in new projects, including in the field of information security.

Smartway CEO Maxim Yaremko believes that the purchase of Bnovo will allow his company to develop a tourist B2B ecosystem. Smartway continues to monitor assets and has not ruled out closing other deals during 2024, he said.

According to Sergei Romashkin, vice president of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia, the Bnovo platform is one of the largest channel managers in the hotel market with a 20% share versus 70% for the leading Travelline service. The remaining 10% of the market, according to the expert, is divided by eight to ten more companies.

A source in the tourism industry said that he did not see much logic for Smartway to buy Bnovo. According to the interlocutor of the newspaper, we are talking about another direction of business, which will not allow to increase the share in the business tourism market.[1]
