History
2018: Varian purchased HumediQ Global
On August 7, 2018 the American producer of the medical equipment Varian Medical Systems announced HumediQ Global acquisition. This purchase which cost the parties decided not to disclose is a part of long-term growth strategy and expansion of a range of services of Varian company.
The IDENTIFY system which is developed by HumediQ Global company is equipped with the palm print scanner for identification of the patient and the device for radio frequency identification providing the correct placement of the equipment. Besides, a system is automatically synchronized with an information system of hospital and cameras for the correct positioning of the patient and monitoring of its movement throughout all therapeutic procedure.
The software of augmented reality allows the specialist to see the image of the patient on the monitor and to adjust his provision, recommending to change a pose for achievement of the best result of treatment. The color encoding of the image facilitates work of the specialist, allowing to orient quickly in a situation. When holding a procedure a system automatically registers movements of the patient and warns the specialist about an incorrect position by means of a sound signal and change of the image on the screen.
