2021: Siemens Digital Industries Software купила TimeSeries
In mid-August 2021, Siemens Digital Industries Software announced the purchase of TimeSeries, which is developing applications for the Mendix platform. The latter helps Siemens accelerate digital transformation by introducing development and new applications that minimize code writing. The value of the transaction is not disclosed.
It is expected that TimeSeries services will be used for intelligent warehousing, preventive maintenance, power management and remote hardware verification, and the Mendix low-code development platform will become the cloud basis for the Siemens Xcelerator integrated software and services portfolio.
The inclusion of TimeSeries services in the Siemens portfolio will allow the company's customers to even faster and more actively use the capabilities of low-code development in general and the Mendix platform in particular. CEO and co-founder of Mendix, part of Siemens since 2018, Derek Roos, noted that the TimeSeries will expand the capabilities of Siemens and help enterprises and independent software providers around the world accelerate their digitalization. Among the advantages offered by the platform, Siemens notes specially designed industry applications, intelligent process automation, modern user interface design and multi-cloud.[1]
