Technopolice GS

"Technopolice GS" is a private innovation cluster. It is located in Gusev of the Kaliningrad region. The area of the developed territory — 230 hectares. The investor — GS Group holding. In a cluster the full stroke of production of microelectronics and consumer electronics is implemented. Capacities of the enterprises allow to produce up to 20 million microchips and up to 5 million household radio-electronic products a year. The enterprises entering the innovation cluster Technopolice GS:

• GS Nanotech (JSC GS Nanotech) − development center and productions of microelectronic products. Production capacity – 10 million microchips a year. The only enterprise in Russia providing services in packaging of chips for external customers and working on own SiP technology (System-in-Package – Sistema-v-korpuse). Production GS Nanotech allows to package and test memory modules, single-crystal and multichip digital, analog and hybrid microprocessors in different types of the BGA, LGA, QFN body.
• JSC NPO Tsifrovye Televizionnye Sistemy − the most large-scale enterprise for release of digital set-top boxes in Eastern Europe and the modern contract manufacturing providing services in surface mount of motherboards and assembly of the electronic equipment. Enterprise capacity – 5 million products a year (with expansion to 10 million), the area – 13.000 sq.m. Capacities of plant allowed to open lines of contract manufacturing, supporting the former production volume of own products. NPO TsTS has the most modern equipment in Russia allowing to switch quickly from one product to another and to carry out four-level quality control.
• Prancor LLC is the enterprise for production of television antennas and the body. The planned production volume of finished goods monthly – 300 thousand products. The Prancor plant is the only enterprise with similar specialization in the Northwest of Russia.
• The First Cardboard Factory LLC is the modern enterprise which is turning out a wide range of products: a corrugated cardboard, corrugated packaging, a cast container from paper stock. Capacities of plant are enough for complete ensuring requirement of the local industrial companies. Export of eco-friendly packaging to Europe is adjusted.
• JSC DSK Bely klyuch is producer of convenient and inexpensive cottages of an individual design on volume and modular technology and apartment houses. The houses made at house-building plant "White Key" conform to the European requirements to comfort and are available to the mass buyer. Design capacity of the enterprise — up to 250 houses a year.
• NUM LLC is the line of production of carbon nanomaterials (NUM). The only and unique production of the carbon nanostructured material in Russia having the line of activation. NUM give unique properties to materials and are used in different spheres from the oil, coal-mining industry and mechanical engineering before light industry and medicine.

Center of concentration of the innovation production

In Technopolice GS the research and education center is built. Will be its part:

• The center of training (education in the field of telecommunications, the innovation management, microelectronics and engineering).

Within activity of the center in Technopolice GS the large-scale educational program aimed at complex education and training for high-tech industries of the industry is implemented:

History

2019: The agreement on creation of a university campus in the Kaliningrad region

On October 23, 2019 GS Group reported that they together with BFU of I. Kant and Gusevsky polytechnical technical school signed the agreement on development of educational programs of a university campus which is created based on the innovation cluster Technopolice GS. Programs of the higher education (a bachelor degree, a magistracy, a postgraduate study), in the field of modern engineering, electronics and information technologies will be developed till November, 2020.

The agreement also formalizes creation of the resource center for practical training of specialists. The faculty of the university and specialists of the enterprises of Technopolice GS will take part in work of the resource center. Laboratories of the center will be equipped with the equipment for practical lessons on a profile of the educational programs for design of microelectronic devices planned to implementation, automation of industrial business processes, technology and designing of electronic devices.

The parties agreed to share the equipment of the resource center for implementation of educational programs within network training, carrying out joint scientific research, to cooperate in integration of the scientific personnel of the enterprises of the innovation cluster and scientists of the university, implementation into educational process of experts experts from among the staff of the enterprises. The Gusevsky polytechnical technical school within the agreement is responsible for programs of secondary vocational education for information security telecommunication robotics the "Information Systems and Programming", "Providing Systems" and "Mechatronics and Mobile" directions and also for administration of educational and economic processes of a campus.

Also the agreement provides joint development and implementation of research projects, implementation of high technologies in technology process of the enterprises of Technopolice GS.

GS Group holding as the technology investor of the Kaliningrad region together with partners creates the platform which not only will become a basis for development of personnel capacity of the region, but will allow to create the environment for development and deployment of the innovation products and solutions providing technology break in a number of the industries here. We agreed on the project which in the future will form the basis of development of a digital ecosystem of the most western region of our country, noted the director of interaction with authorities of GS Group holding Sergey Dolgopolsky

The agreement was signed in the presence of the minister of digital technologies and communication of the Kaliningrad region Alexey Ignatenko.

In the performance he noted:

One of the priority directions in the national project "Digital Economy of Russia" is a training. The task to grow up specialists who will "forge" digital economy in the future is set. We are interested in training the personnel with such competences in the region and creation of a university educational campus will help with the solution of this task.

We have three tasks in implementation of this agreement. Main of them are joint educational programs. We will try to design and start an educational product in which with preparation in the field of high technologies is combined, in this case - microelectronics, IT, and the business idea and creation of real startups is realized. The most important problem which we will solve with GS Group: training of new generation, creation of businesses and finishing them before start. The second part of this project more resource-intensive is a creation in 2023-2024 of the joint laboratories based on a new campus of Technopolice GS connected with IT and microelectronics. The signed agreement – one of steps to implementations for Russia of the comprehensive program of application and basic scientific research in the innovation sphere about which GS Group and BFU of I. Kant agreed in 2018. This program provides partnership in the field of application scientific research within which in the region creation of research centers and laboratories in the field of high technologies, and joint activity in the field of fundamental science, including carrying out research and development in the priority directions of development of a scientific and technology complex of Russia is planned. It will integrate production capabilities and R&D GS Group holding and research competences BFU.

2018

Beginning of mass production of SSD drives

On February 20, 2018 the GS Group holding announced the beginning of mass production of the first SSD drives. It is own development of the company and the first Russian SSD drives. Until the end of 2018 the holding will bring to the market a line of solid state drives with a capacity up to 1 TB for different applications.

Production with power more than 1 million devices a year will be performed based on the innovation cluster Technopolice GS in the Kaliningrad region, says the company.

GS Nanotech, the government of the Kaliningrad region and BFU of I. Kant signed the agreement on cooperation

In February, 2018 GS Nanotech, the government of the Kaliningrad region and BFU of I. Kant signed the agreement on cooperation within which in the region the comprehensive program of application and basic scientific research in the innovation sphere will be implemented. A key task of the program is development of the innovation ecosystem and increase in attractiveness of the Kaliningrad region for the innovative companies.

The program means cooperation on two main directions: partnership in the field of application scientific research within which in the region creation of the advanced research centers and laboratories in the field of high technologies, and joint activity in the field of fundamental science, including carrying out research and development in the priority directions of development of a scientific and technology complex of Russia is planned.

Creation in the territory of Technopolice GS of research center which will become a part of the project of the University campus in the field of engineering and technical science and will integrate production capabilities and R&D GS Group holding and research competences BFU will become the first step in implementation of this large-scale program. In the Russia's first center of such format necessary scientific and technical infrastructure for carrying out application and scientific research in the field of microelectronics and materials science, and in the long term and fundamental scientific developments in neurotechnologies, technologies of the virtual and complemented realities will be concentrated.

2017

On November 23, 2017 the innovation cluster Technopolice GS, the city of Innopolis and administration of the Gusevsky city district signed the agreement on strategic partnership. The parties agreed together to develop new forms of cooperation of universities and high technology productions, to create the personnel potential of digital economy and also to create consolidation of the innovation centers for achievement of sustainable development of territories. Joint development of educational formats, in particular, of the project of the University campus in the territory of Technopolice GS will become one of the key areas of work.

2016

In Technopolice GS construction of the Art center for residents of the Kaliningrad region began. This multifunction space built on model of the public library of new type developed by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.

The project on creation of the University campus in the field of engineering and technical science develops. It is a format of the educational project, rare for Russia — the higher school actively cooperates with private business, and students receive an average and higher education in a network form by the curriculum integrated with requirements of real production. Technical partner universities of GS Group among which the Baltic federal university of I. Kant, the Petrozavodsk state university, the ITMO University, the National research university "Higher School of Economics", Gusevsky polytechnical technical school, the Tomsk state university of management systems and radio electronics, St. Petersburg State University of Telecommunications of a name of professor M.A. Bonch-Bruyevich are responsible for depth of theoretical knowledge.

The Nanouglerodnye materialy LLC enterprise arranged mass delivery of nanocarbon additives of own development of NCM Chrome to the Motordetal plant, Kostroma.

2015

In October, 2015 GS Labs research and development center (as a part of GS Group holding) began project implementation on creation new large-scale R&D-подразделения in the innovation cluster Technopolice GS. Competences of the local center: development of complete solutions for operators of digital television.

In November, 2015 GS Group won the award CNews Awards in the Russian Technologies nomination for development of the first Russian microprocessor on technology Sistema-v-korpuse for consumer electronics – GS Nanotech SiP Amber S2. The chip was created at the GS Nanotech enterprise in Technopolice GS. By the time of receiving an award on production more than 2 million microprocessors on this technology were produced (since August, 2014).

At the end of 2015 the Prancor plants and NPO Tsifrovye televizionnye sistemy were included into the rating of the All-Russian social and economic project "Elite of the Nation" in the direction "Production of parts of the sound recording and sound-reproducing equipment and video equipment; antennas". The enterprises took the second and third places. The Elite of the Nation project is organized with assistance of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, the Federation Council of the Russian Federation and Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation.

Based on Technopolice GS a number of educational initiatives, including together with the leading universities of the country is implemented: Petrgu, Higher School of Economics National Research University, by BFU of I. Kant — and also holds competitions for school and university students.

In Technopolice GS there were streets called in honor of the famous Russian scientists — professor Alexander Stepanovich Popov and Vladimir Kozmich Zvorykin.

2014: Opening of the memorial park in honor of the 100 anniversary of World War I with Mikhail Shemyakin's sculpture

On August 24, 2014 in the territory of Technopolice GS (Mr. Gusev, the Kaliningrad region) the ceremony of opening of the memorial park in honor of century from the date of the beginning of World War I was held. At an action there was a president of GS Group holding Andrey Tkachenko, the Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation, the chairman of the Russian voyennoistorichesky society Vladimir Medinsky, the governor of the Kaliningrad region Nikolay Tsukanov, the head of administration of MO "Gusevsky City District" Evgeny Mikhaylov. The key sculptural composition of the "Memories of the Forgotten War Which Turned the Course of History" complex was provided by her author – the Russian and American artist and the sculptor Mikhail Shemyakin.

The memorial park in Technopolice GS represents the museum of World War I under the open sky with a total area of 3 hectares in the territory of which the information stands telling about fighting of 1914-1918 and the sculptural groups representing soldiers of the Russian and German armies and the "War sphere" which swept on the ground are located. The complex is designed to become the center of rest and cultural leisure of inhabitants of Mr. Gusev and the tourists visiting the Kaliningrad region. The ceremony of opening of the park brought together about 300 people.

The famous artist and the sculptor put the idea of the social tragedy, universal accident of World War I in a basis of a bronze monument. On the pedestal representing fragments of cabinets from the houses destroyed by bombings three figures were placed: the emaciated soldier crucified on "a destiny wheel", his wife and mother. The sculptural composition is supplemented by historical materials: photos, maps and military documentation, – recreated using the innovation covering protecting from negative impact of the environment.

"The composition is devoted to all mothers, sisters, widows of the dead in World War I. I am glad that this my work is set in the memorial park in the settlement which is built for the workers by Technopolice GS company, – Mikhail Shemyakin told. – Invest money in a monument, but not in yachts, only people who love Russia can and are betrayed by it".

"It is sure that I will not be mistaken if I call historical for the Kaliningrad region opening in Gusev of sculptural composition of 'Memory of the forgotten war which turned the course of history', – the governor of the Kaliningrad region Nikolay Tsukanov said. – He is sincerely grateful to the artist Mikhail Shemyakin for attention to the history of our earth. The words of gratitude are also deserved by GS Group company: implementation of such project in the Kaliningrad region – the only region of Russia where World War I battles were conducted, – is an example of corporate social liability, a civic stand, human keenness".

The city Gusev (earlier Gumbinnen) is one of the few localities in the territory of the modern Russian Federation which became the battleground of World War I. On August 20, 1914, the well-known Gumbinnensky battle which ended with one of the first victories of the Russian imperial army took place here.

"We want not just to construct an industrial and research complex, but also to create the full-fledged environment for innovators attracting in Gusev clever and talented people from all Russia and from abroad, – the president of GS Group Andrey Tkachenko told. – The activity we aim to contribute to economic prosperity and the cultural development of the region. And cultural development first of all is based on respect for the history of this earth".

In 2014 at the Digital Television Systems plant the new equipment for automatic testing of printed circuit boards of digital set-top boxes is put into operation.

The development center and productions of microelectronics GS Nanotech successfully underwent certification on ISO 9001:2008.

At "The first cardboard factory" the tuberous container from salvage for export to Europe is marketed.

At the JSC The Production Line of Smart Cards Is Open for NPO Tsifrovye Televizionnye Sistemy. Card Issue of Access for Subscribers of the Chief Russian Operator of Satellite Television Is Begun Tricolor TV enterprise.

2013

GS Group in 2013 continued intensive development of the Russian innovations based on own cluster in the Kaliningrad region – Technopolice GS. Mass production in development center and productions of microelectronic products GS Nanotech – the flagman enterprise which completed the formation of the main industrial zone of Technopolice GS started. In 2013 the focus in development of the innovation cluster was shifted from creation of a production zone to active formation of the innovation infrastructure. One of its crucial elements – GS Venture venture fund which investments into a separate startup will make from 500 thousand to 300 million rubles. The total amount of means which GS Group is going to direct to financing of venture projects in 2013-2014 — 1.5 billion rubles.

2012

The GS Nanotech plant is open. The first stage of the cottage settlement "Solar valley" in Gvardeysk is constructed.

2011

The Center for a research and production of microelectronics of JSC GS Nanotech (GS Nanotech) is put.
