TagraS bought 20% of the Haiv fund

On March 15, 2024, VimpelCom PJSC (beeline brand) announced that the structure of the Tagras oilfield service holding had become a co-owner of its Haiv venture fund. There is no information on the amount of the transaction as of the specified date.

Management Company LLC TMS Group (part of Tagras) acquired a 20% stake in Haiv LLC. Another 80% remain with VimpelCom. On August 18, 2023, Haiv, as part of the third stage of the Venture League in Innopolis, announced its intention to attract external investors.

On January 12, 2024, it became known about the sale of 9.235% of Eshopmedia to VimpelCom. The Russian telecommunications operator concluded a deal through a subsidiary of Haiv LLC, created by VimpelCom specifically for venture financing projects. 2022: Establishing a company

On June 15, 2022, it became known that VimpelCom had created a new company that would invest in startups and support entrepreneurs in Russia. According to data from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, Haiv LLC with an authorized capital of 10 thousand rubles was registered on June 10. The new company's activities included investments in authorized capital, venture capital investment, including through investment companies.

As the press service of VimpelCom told Interfax, one of the directions of business development "in the new related industries of Beeline is the development of entrepreneurship and investments in startups."

To make these investments and manage the portfolio of assets, we have established a separate subsidiary of Haiv LLC. In the future, this will also allow us to attract financial investors to the portfolio of assets as partners in Haiv LLC, the company explained.

For VimpelCom, this is not the first startup support project. Earlier, the telecom operator allocated 30 million rubles for the development and support of technological solutions and products created inside the LaunchPad startup studio.

In addition, the GenerationS accelerator of the Russian Venture Capital Company (RVC) selected technology startups for VimpelCom, which were supposed to help the operator in developing its own business. VimpelCom invested several million rubles in the GenerationS accelerator. The company was interested in projects related to geolocation services and tracking the movement of objects over Wi-Fi. The operator was also interested in startups that offer new solutions in the field of loyalty programs, contactless payments, face recognition and virtual and added reality technologies. Within the company, a department was also created that focused on analyzing the effectiveness of startups.[2]
