2022: Smartway купил A&A Business Travel Services Holding

On July 5, 2022, it became known about the sale of A&A Business Travel Services Holding to the Smartway travel organization service (51% owned by 1C) for $3 million. The company sold can receive several million more dollars by the end of 2022 when fulfilling certain KPIs (details are not disclosed).

All A&A employees after the completion of the transaction will remain in the company and will develop the agency business (interaction with travel agencies and IT solutions for agencies). This direction will maintain operational independence.

The travel management service included in 1C bought a hotel reservation system

The travel service has acquired all A&A subsidiaries and brands, including those that specialize in serving corporate customers.

We were one of the largest partners of Booking in Russia, and after his departure we faced difficulties - there were simply no analogues with such a choice in the Russian market. After analyzing all the players and their capabilities, we realized that only our own contracts and integrations with hotel distribution systems will give corporate customers the necessary level of service and prices. Building such a system on its own would take up to three years. Therefore, we stopped at acquiring one of the most technological companies in this area - said the founder and CEO of Smartway Maxim Yaremko.

It is noted that due to 7,500 direct contracts with hotels that A&A Business Travel Services Holding has, Smartway will be able to offer corporate clients the most profitable accommodation options and increase the number of available options.^[1]
