2020: Donation of $791 million for preserving of the environment

On November 16, 2020 Jeff Bezos called 16 ecological organizations which will receive the first part of means from the Bezos Earth Fund which total amount of grants on conservation is $10 billion. In total they will receive $791 million, however the founder of Amazon did not specify how many each organization will receive.

The last several months I studied at group of incredibly clever people who devoted the life to fight against climatic changes and their influence on communities worldwide, - Bezos in Instagram told. - I am inspired with what they do, and I am glad to promote them in development.

The CEO of Amazon announced creation of the Bezos Earth Fund in February, 2020. Its volume corresponds to 7% of a status of Bezos and by 10 times exceeds cumulative means which in 2018 offered charitable foundations around the world on efforts on climate change deceleration. Within the first round of financing Bezos decided to support several already proved organizations for protection of the planet. The World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), Rocky Mountain Institute, World Resources Institute, Nature Conservancy and also other ecological organizations were among receivers of donations. Among the new organizations: NDN Collective and Hive Fund for Climate and Gender Justice fund which was started in 2019 with the emphasis on support of women in the southeast of the USA.

It is known that the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) headed by Geena McCarthy and also the Fund of environment protection (EDF) headed by Fred Krupp will receive $100 million from Bezos Earth Fund.

Requirements are huge, - the president of EDF Fred Krupp after in February it was announced creation of fund of Bezos told. Irrespective of the fact which the organization will receive financing, it is important that money worked.[1]
