2018: Amazon was purchased by CloudEndure
On January 10, 2019 CloudEndure through the account in Twitter confirmed officially sale to the company to the American Internet giant Amazon in several days after rumors about this transaction appeared.
CloudEndure is included into Amazon Web Services (AWS) company now. This acquisition expands our opportunities for providing the innovative and flexible solutions for migration, disaster recovery and data backup, says the Israeli IT developer.[1] |
According to the founder and the analyst of Constellation Research Ray Vanga (Ray Wang), shortly before CloudEndure sale the Infosys company sold the share in CloudEndure, and it could accelerate the conclusion of the transaction with Amazon.
According to the Israeli newspaper Haaretz, the Amazon company paid about $200 million (according to other information, it is about the amount of $250 million) for merger of CloudEndure. If this is true (officially the cost of the transaction is not announced), then for Amazon this purchase will become the second in value in Israel after in 2015 the online retailer for $360 million purchased Annapurna Labs startup.
CloudEndure cooperated with the main competitor of AWS more closely — Google Cloud. This platform was used by the company for providing free service of VM Migration Service which allowed users of Google Cloud to transfer physical servers and virtual machines from the existing environments (cloud or local).
