2021: Google launched a unit to organize cyber defense of government agencies
In October 2021, Google announced the launch of Cybersecurity Action Team, a cybersecurity organization unit designed to help governments, infrastructure life support facilities, large enterprises and small businesses.
The goal of the unit is to guide customers through a security transformation cycle, including creating a roadmap, enhancing cyber resilience and developing new solutions in response to a changing state of affairs.
Cybersecurity is at the top of the agenda of every senior executive, given the growing importance of exploiting vulnerability, malware and other attacks. To address these unprecedented security challenges facing organizations in every industry today, we announce the creation of Google Cybersecurity Action Tea, "said Thomas Kurian, CEO of Google Cloud in a statement. |
This initiative is part of Google's $10 billion commitment to strengthen cybersecurity. According to the website, the unit will provide:
- Strategic advisory services on customer security strategies;
- Trust and compliance services;
- Customer security and solution development;
- Threat Analysis and Incident Response Services.
In addition to the above-mentioned services, the team of the unit created a conceptual safety and fault tolerance scheme, coordinated with the system of the National Institute of Standards and Technologies, the "Work Safeer" proposal, designed to ensure the safe exchange of data in modern hybrid working environments. The work of the division team will be based on existing Google Cloud offerings, such as autonomous security operations, as well as protection of web applications and APIs.
Stakeholders from the federal government loyally met Google's successes in the context of wider work to attract corporate assistance to work with cybersecurity.
It is good to see that such a large company as Google Cloud is ready to support all organizations, large and small, in ensuring cybersecurity through its cybersecurity cycle, and within the framework of the JCDC and other initiatives, we look forward to working with them and other technology companies in this vital matter, "said CISA Jen Easterly.[1] |
