2026: Severstal bought 25% of Innovotech
At the end of January 2026, it became known that the vertically integrated mining and metallurgical company Severstal acquired a 25 percent stake in the Russian manufacturer of industrial robots Innovotech. Information on the value of the transaction was not disclosed.
Innovotech LLC was founded on December 18, 2018 and registered in Moscow on the territory of the Skolkovo innovation center. The company's website says that it is developing Smart LR software and robotic systems designed to automate and robotize repairs of thermal units of metallurgical and cement enterprises. We are talking about robotization of the repair of converters and steel ladles (lining, welding, plasma cutting), shotcreting of intermediate buckets and lining of cement furnaces. The general director of the enterprise since September 2025 is Alexey Spirin.
It is known that the deal to join Severstal in the structure of Innovotech was carried out through an increase in the authorized capital. After the transaction, Spirin left 41.2%, Kama Investment Management LLC - 18.75%, Sulak Capital LLC - 15%.
As noted, in addition to Severstal, Innovotech's clients include Evraz, one of the world's largest metallurgical and mining companies with assets in Russia, the USA, Canada, the Czech Republic, Italy and Kazakhstan. The partners of Innovotekha are Novosibirsk State University (NSU), Moscow Venture Fund, Magnesit Group, etc.
