On November 6, 2012 the Riverbed Technology company specializing in productivity solutions of IT - infrastructures, and OPNET Technologies company announced that the Riverbed company signed the final agreement about acquisition of OPNET on the price of 43 US dollars for an action cash and securities; the cost of the transaction will be 1 billion US dollars or 921 million US dollars taking into account debts. This acquisition will allow Riverbed to expand the business in the field of solutions for management of the network performance (NPM) and to enter the market of solutions for application performance management (APM) which is estimated at several billion US dollars. Consolidation of lines Cascade and OPNET to allow to create new force in the convergent market of solutions for performance management of networks and applications and more than 250 million US dollars will provide consolidated annual revenues.
