History
2024: Raising $13.5 million in investments
On February 1, 2024, the Armenian service based on artificial intelligence Podcastle for creating and editing audio content announced a Series A funding round. $13.5 million was raised for further development, and the total investment since its inception startup in 2020 amounted to $22.3 million.
Originally created as a browser extension, the company notes that Podcastle service has evolved into a complete set of AI-based tools that radically simplifies the creation of audio and video materials. Podcastle is a full-fledged content production and distribution platform that serves podcasters, individual entrepreneurs, marketers, educators, etc. Since the start-up financing in 2021, the user base of the service has grown from 150 thousand to more than 1 million people.
Funding for the Series A funding program was provided by Mosaic Ventures, RTP Global, Point Nine, Sierra Ventures and AI Fund. The money will be used to develop new AI tools and scale the project. In addition, the startup intends to introduce funds that will help team members interact with each other in real time as part of all workflows, including the creation, production and distribution of content.

It is also reported that in order to accelerate growth, there will be changes in the leadership team. Podcastle appointed Allan Rechtman, former vice president of Canva, as commercial director.[1]
2021: Raising $7 million
In early October 2021, Podcastle raised $7 million in an initial round of funding jointly led by Leonid Boguslavsky's fund RTP Global and Point Nine Capital. S16 VC and the company's previous investors, Sierra Ventures and AI Fund, also participated in the round.
The platform has about 150,000 YouTube users by October 2021, Podcastle reported. The company claims the figure will grow rapidly by providing users with easy-to-use podcast creation tools such as remote studio-quality interviews with consumer-grade microphones, multi-channel recording and editing, and the ability to isolate and enhance podcast speech. The platform can also translate text into speech and vice versa so that creators can edit audio recordings as simply as text documents.
