2024: Alfa-Bank bought Rosbank Plaza
On October 29, 2024, it became known that Alfa-Bank became the owner of the Rosbank Plaza business center in Moscow, located on Masha Poryvaeva Street. The transaction is estimated at ₽14,4 billion and is related to the bank's plans to expand the office network and optimize business processes.
According to Kommersant, Rosbank decided to sell the building as part of integration with T-Bank, which reduces the cost of maintaining office space. The business center is an eight-story building with an area of about 50 thousand square meters. m was commissioned in 2009. The complex includes underground parking for more than 1,000 parking spaces and is located in the Garden Ring area, not far from the Krasnye Vorota and Komsomolskaya metro stations. The level of free space here is one of the lowest in Moscow - about 2.5%. An additional factor in the attractiveness of the object for investors is the prospect of the development of Sakharov Avenue, which extends Masha Poryvaeva Street.
According to experts, such investments are justified for Alfa-Bank, given the strategic importance of real estate and the development of infrastructure on Sakharov Avenue. Dmitry Antonov, Sales and Acquisition Director of Ricci|Offices, believes that the purchase of Rosbank Plaza will allow the bank to improve conditions for employees and centralize business processes.
The sale of the object is connected with the decision of Rosbank to join T-Bank. According to the reporting for the first half of 2024, Rosbank, whose assets amount to ₽2,11 trillion, will be combined with T-Bank with assets of ₽2,76 trillion, which will save about ₽50 billion. The new owner of Rosbank Plaza, Alfa Bank, ranks fourth among Russian banks with assets of ₽9,53 trillion as of October 1, 2024.[1]
