2021: Acquisition by Qlik

On October 11, 2021, the company Qlik TAdviser announced the acquisition of Big Squid, a provider of code-free automated machine learning (AutoML). The solution will provide additional advanced analytics capabilities: analysis of key influencers, predictive analytics and planning in the "what if" format using API models deployed through the Qlik system for artificial intelligence forecasting. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Qlik will provide full support for all existing Big Squid customers, many of which are also Qlik customers.

The acquisition of Big Squid will help improve the augmented analytics tool for the cloud solution. The solution will also help the development of Qlik Active Intelligence, where technologies and processes launch immediate actions based on up-to-date and reliable real-time data, increasing the business value of analytics.
