Newton School

The Newton School company was founded in 2019 by friends on Nishantom Chandra college (Nishant Chandra) and Siddharth Maheshwari. The startup develops the educational platform for software developers. The startup claims that his students are employed by more than 100 companies, from the leading startups, such as Zomato, Unacademy, Nykaa and Affle, to such multinational corporations as Publicis Sapient, ThoughtWorks, Motorola and Nutanix.

History

2021: Attraction of $5 million investments

At the beginning of February, 2021 RTP Global of Leonid Boguslavsky invested in the Bangalore startup of Newton School working in the field of educational technologies. In series A round the startup collected $5 million thanks to Nexus Venture Partners, Prophetic Ventures and cofounders of Unacademy.

On the one hand, colleges annually produce more than one million students with low indicators of employment, and on the other hand, thousands of the companies try to find talents. We aim to fill an abyss between them using the platform of individual training Newton School. This online academy should solve a serious problem of employment of graduates, - the cofounder of Nishtan company Chandra notes.

Students are not obliged to contribute for training in advance and begin to pay only after that, will get a job. Six-months Newton School rate includes more than 1000 hours of programming, more than 50 hours of training in skills of interpersonal communication, special projects and coaching. All programs are developed according to industry requirements.

The received capital will be used for expansion of a command and new product development using AI for optimization and personalisation of educational process of students. For a year of Newton School increased set of students by 10 times so in the last set there were more than 300 students. And for the purpose of overcoming a gender gap the startup started completely female training program headed by women recently.^[1]
