Podium Data — the American developer of solutions for management of corporate data. The company founded in 2014 offers the Podium Data Marketplace platform used for extraction of data from different sources and creation of the centralized storages of the formatted and well documentary information available to a wide range of users.

History

2018: Qlik purchased Podium Data

At the end of July, 2018 the American software maker for complex data analysis of Qlik announced Podium Data acquisition. The cost of the transaction of the company was decided not to be disclosed.

Thanks to Podium Data purchase the Qlik company will be able to offer both the client software for a business intelligence, and software for data management at the server level.

Qlik purchased software developer for management of corporate data

The solution Qlik Sense is already compatible to the Podiu system: Qlik Sense Connectors for communication with the directory of data managed by the Podium platform and gaining access to data for analytical applications is used. Closer integration of products of vendors is planned.

The Podium Data platform will be involved in quality of a basis for a data processing system of Qlik which provides intellectual profiling of data and adaptation, automatic control of quality of data and also possibilities of preparation and the publication of data. Besides, a system will include the directory of data available to search.

Consolidation of products will allow to reduce amount of works on integration which partners should execute, having exempted them from need to focus on a business intelligence and data management. Consolidation of the products Qlik and Podium also means that partners can quicker execute software implementation projects.

At this Qlik promises not to close the business intelligence tools offered Podium Data for other producers.^[1]
