Bauman Moscow State Technical University approved a development strategy until 2030. It is imprisoned under the technological sovereignty of the Russian Federation

On January 10, 2024, the Bauman Moscow State Technical University announced a development strategy until 2030. It is focused on ensuring the technological sovereignty of Russia and the transition from routine training to the training of members of engineering teams capable of "configuring to solve specific practical problems of the industry."

It is noted that the strategy is based on the almost 200-year history of the university. It was formed with the participation of a wide range of interested parties: representatives of ministries and departments, scientific institutions, the industrial sector, etc. MSTU intends to play a system-forming role in engineering education, ensuring the creation of effective technical solutions for the whole country.

MSTU named after N.E. Bauman announced a development strategy until 2030

As part of the strategy, it is planned to carry out transformation in four main areas. One of them is engineering education: it is planned to create engineering teams "in one measure" for long training programs, with an increase in the share of specialized education and graduate school to involve talented youth in solving the problems of technological development of the country. Another area is digital development, that is, the formation of a platform for data-based management using artificial intelligence technologies.

The third segment is research and development. Work in this area provides for the integration of technological sovereignty into megaprojects and an increase in the contribution of the companies of the Bauman Brotherhood (a community of university graduates) to the economy through the creation of new jobs and the commercialization of university scientific and technical groundwork. The fourth direction is personnel development - a new model of the activities of teachers, uniting education, science and business.

The MSTU strategy also involves the creation of ten interdisciplinary clusters on critical and end-to-end technologies, including robotics, digital transformation and artificial intelligence. The work is planned to be carried out with the involvement of industrial partners. The possibility of venture financing is allowed.[1]
