Competence Center for New Materials and Breakthrough Technologies with the support of VEB

Since September 2017, on the basis of NUST MISIS, the Competence Center for New Materials and Breakthrough Technologies with the main focus on blockchain technology, convergent and quantum technologies should open. The history of the National Research Technological University "MISIS" began when the Moscow Mining Academy was created in 1918, in which the metallurgical department was opened. The "atomic project" of the Country of Soviets was led to success by the first rector of MISiS Avraamy Pavlovich Zavenyagin, Efim Pavlovich Slavsky and Vasily Semenovich Emelyanov. Head of the Department of Ferrous Metallurgy of MISIS, Academician Mikhail Alexandrovich Pavlov in 1920-1930 participated in the design of all major metallurgical plants, blast furnaces and steelmaking units of the country.
