2020: The announcement of the personal digital assistant based on the Telegram application
On January 21, 2020 the Russian office of itelligence company – the international platinum partner of SAP in Russia – announced development of the personal digital assistant based on the Telegram application.
Employees of itelligence Russia within the internal it.lab project developed the digital assistant in a chat-bot format on the platform of the Telegram application. The idea of the assistant passed several stages in the development.
To one of corporate actions we were puzzled with a question how to send the plan of the forthcoming sessions, and at the end to carry out online vote. Corporate mobile application for actions would be the ideal solution. Also the general group / channel in one of messengers would approach. We went on the way of a bot in one of popular messengers – Telegram to which it was possible to be connected on an action through the QR code. Later the company decided to expand functionality of a bot, and now it is capable to participate in 16 dialogs. For the employee remains imperceptible, but the bot interacts with internal and external systems (1C, Exchange, HR, etc.) and also starts program robots. The RPA technology (Robotic Process Automation) which allows to replace the routine and repeatedly repeated manual transactions with faultless work in mode 24х7 comes to the rescue.
Communication with a bot begins in Telegram chat. What would not be a request – on everything there will be the necessary functionality of the chat-bot. It is necessary to learn urgently the employee's phone – please, only enter his name or a part of a surname – the assistant will find his data in a HR system; you do not know at what project the employee works now or you want to learn on what projects it was involved earlier – data are requested in the system of maintaining projects and in summary form displayed in the messenger; it is necessary to issue an application for a holiday – not a problem, it will only be required to select date and type (a holiday, a compensatory leave); order the reference for tax – the request automatically goes to accounting; you plan a meeting with the customer at office – the bot will help to reserve the meeting room and to order the admission for guests.
It is a little about efficiency in digits: formation of the application for a holiday through the chat-bot takes no more than 15 seconds, the statement on the portal which needs to be printed only as a result forms. On average in a month the number of the ordered admissions for guests ~ 100, the secretary spent about 3 minutes for formation and sending Word of the request for e-mail of business center. Now a design is executed by the employee independently and requires no more than 15 seconds via the chat-bot. Armoring of meeting rooms requires existence only of phone with Telegram and through four commands the employee receives confirmation armoring and a meeting in Outlook.
