2025: Yandex established Autonomous Robots LLC

The Yandex technology company, through the controlled Technoyak LLC, has established two specialized organizations for the development of robotics and autonomous transport - Autonomous Robots LLC and Autonomous Transport LLC, which will develop software in the appropriate directions. The creation of new legal entities takes place against the background of the preparation by the Russian government of an experimental legal regime for the commercial operation of delivery robots and unmanned vehicles. This is evidenced by the data of the Unified State Register of Legal Entities as of August 14, 2025.

According to the Business News Agency, Ruslan Mavlyutov, who previously headed the Robodostavka company owned by Technoyak, has been appointed General Director of Autonomous Robots LLC. The management of Robodostavka passed to Nikita Sobolev, who had previously headed Yandex Unmanned Technologies.

Autonomous Transport LLC was headed by Arslan Urtashev, who had previously appeared in the media as the technical director of Alice and the direction of Yandex smart devices. Subsequently, he served as technical director of autonomous transport in the structure of the company.

The registration of new organizations coincides in time with the preparation by the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia of a draft resolution on the establishment of an experimental legal regime in the field of digital and technological innovations. The document provides for the approval of a program for the commercial operation of rovers - autonomous delivery robots.

It is planned to establish an experimental regime for the operation of courier robots in 36 constituent entities of the Russian Federation. In the draft document, Robodostavka LLC, which is part of the Yandex ecosystem, is indicated as one of the participants in the experimental legal regime^[1]
