2023: Yandex rewrote part of its assets to Technoyak
At the end of October 2023, several Russian assets of Yandex were rewritten to Technoyak. The relevant information is contained in the SPARK-Interfax system.
Kommersant was the first to draw attention to this. According to the newspaper, Technoyak LLC received 100% each in legal entities related to Yandex media assets (Kinopoisk, Yandex Music), unmanned vehicles (Yandex unmanned technologies), smart devices (Alice Laboratory) and a number of others. Previously, the authorized capital of these legal entities belonged directly to the Dutch Yandex N.V. Subsequently, he continues to own them, but indirectly, through Technoyak.
Under the full direct ownership of Yandex N.V., reflected in Russian financial bases, as of October 31, 2023, only Yandex Taxi LLC remains. Yandex called these changes "a technical procedure for optimizing the structure of legal entities of the group of companies."
As the publication points out, the Technoyak company was established on April 26, 2022. Its first general director was Andrei Snigirev (head of legal support for Yandex on business and corporate relations, as well as the general director of the IT hub in Serbia, Smart Business Technologies). In September 2023, Technoyak was headed by Yandex CEO Artyom Savinovsky.
Earlier in October 2023, several Russian Yandex-owned LLCs completely came under the control of Yandex N.V., a public limited liability company located in the Netherlands. (Yandex N.V. is the parent company of Yandex). According to information from specialized sources, Yandex Unmanned Technologies LLC, Yandex Music LLC, Yandex.Vertials LLC, Yandex.Carshering LLC and Yandex.Taxi LLC came under the full control of the public limited liability company Yandex N.V. (authorized capital of 100 thousand rubles and a share of 100%).[1]
