2024: Yandex bought NewPay

On November 28, 2024, it became known that he Yandex had bought NewPay LLC, which is developing a service for paying for goods and services through QR code SBP NewPay. There is no information on the value of the transaction as of the specified date.

NewPay LLC was registered on September 9, 2024 in Moscow with an authorized capital of 10 thousand rubles. The main activity is the creation and use of databases and information resources. Other areas include the development of computer software, data processing activities, the provision of information placement services, and work in the field of computer technology.

Yandex bought a service for paying for goods and services through the QR code of the SBP NewPay

Before the deal with Yandex, NewPay belonged to Ivan Bortnik by 70%, Alexey Lokontsev had another 25%, Igor Melnikov had the remaining 5%. At the same time, Bortnik holds the post of general director. The transaction for the sale of the organization was carried out and structured through LLC "Financial and payment technologies."

Yandex has closed a deal to acquire the NewPay service. The deal will expand the set of payment tools and payment scenarios through the Yandex Pay service, - said representatives of the Russian Internet company, whose words are quoted by Interfax.

The NewPay website says that the service is integrated with such systems as Evotor, Posiflora, Quick Resto, Fusion POS, Kassa Module, Aspro, My Fitness, etc. The project partners are TopGun, Doubleby, Cantata, OnePriceCoffee, SurfCoffee, Cofix, etc. NewPay allows you to pay for purchases by scanning the QR code at the checkout. It is possible to integrate the button for payment through the SBP to the site or to the mobile application. In addition, you can turn on the electronic tip system (NewPay tips are paid in the same transaction with the check amount, but do not fall into the current account).[1]
