2024: Establishing a Company

On September 11, 2024, it became known that Yandex had created a new structure - Yandex Robotics LLC. This venture will specialize in robot sales.

Yandex Robotics Limited Liability Company is registered in Moscow at ter. city municipal district Zamoskvorechye, st. Sadovnicheskaya, d. 82, p. 2. The authorized capital is 1 million rubles. The CEO is Ivan Kalinov. The new company belongs to the structures of Yandex - Technoyak LLC (99% share) and Market.Operations LLC (1%).

The main activity of Yandex Robotics is the development of computer software. In addition, the organization can perform other works: these are, in particular, activities in the field of communication based on wired technologies, as well as activities on planning, designing computer systems, managing computer equipment, creating and using databases and information resources, processing data, etc.

Yandex reported that the new structure was formed in order to scale the business of selling robots. The robotics team will continue to create robots and develop software for Market warehouse operations, as well as offer their solutions to third-party customers.

Yandex is actively developing the direction of robotics. In particular, Spectro and Motus robots operate at the company's logistics sites. The first is engaged in inventory: he scans QR codes on pallets with goods and enters data into the warehouse accounting system about what is stored and where. In turn, Motus transports goods weighing up to 700 kg through the warehouse: this car itself builds a route and orients itself in space, recognizing people and obstacles.^[1]
