2022: Rosbank bought the company "Benefit-Finance"
On January 9, 2022, it became known about the sale of the microcredit company Benefit-Finance to Rosbank. The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The fact that Rosbank bought MCC Benefit-Finance was reported by Kommersant with reference to the data of the Unified State Register of Legal Entities (USRUL). It follows from it that the change of ownership took place on December 22, 2022, the previous owner was Andrei Manyukhin.
The authorized capital of Benefit-Finance is 107.8 million rubles, the company specializes in issuing loans from 15 thousand to 100 thousand rubles.
Participants in the microfinance market interviewed by Kommersant do not know a company with this name. According to Ekaterina Sinogeikina, General Director of the Euroexpert consulting company, by the beginning of 2023, the multipliers to capital on the market are about 0.7, but if the company "has a more or less high-quality portfolio." Therefore, according to the expert, Benefit-Finance could be sold "no more than 0.5 capital."
As the newspaper notes, before the purchase of MCC Benefit-Finance, Rosbank was not engaged in microloans. But large banks have a base of a large number of refuseniks for their classic products and do not want to lose them as customers, so part of the issuance of unsecured loans goes to related MFIs, said Dmitry Alexandrov, Managing Director of Oriole Capital. Rosbank, acquiring MCC, could be guided by the same logic, the expert believes.
In his opinion, Rosbank will focus on working in the medium-term loans (IL) segment - in this case, the current competencies should be enough to process the existing flow of applications. However, the expert draws attention to, the company proposes to fill out documents for receiving them offline - an agent leaves to fill out the application, which "looks like a fairly outdated practice for a very technological segment of MFOs."[1]
