The Rigla pharmacy chain was founded in 2001 and is part of the Protek Group of Companies.

As of September 30, 2016, the chain consisted of 1705 pharmacies in 47 regions of Russia, 20 thousand assortment items.

History

2024

Purchase of several pharmacy chains in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Moscow region and Nizhny Novgorod region

On October 18, 2024, it became known that Rigla, which is part of the Protek group, acquired several pharmacy chains in various Russian regions at once. The relevant transactions were agreed with the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) of the Russian Federation.

We are talking about the purchase of 99.9% of shares in the authorized capital of Prime Farm LLC, Pharmacy 52 LLC, Foest Pharmacy LLC, Solo Farm LLC, Nizhny Novgorod Pharmacy Network LLC, First Pharmacy LLC, Pharmacy 24 LLC, Vita + LLC, Pharmacy 78 LLC, Premier Farm LLC and Prima Farm LLC. These networks are located within the geographical borders of Moscow and St. Petersburg, the Republic of Mari El, as well as the Nizhny Novgorod, Vladimir, Moscow, Kaluga and Kirov regions.

FAS agreed on the acquisition of Rigla LLC of a number of regional pharmacy chains. As a result of the analysis of the transaction, the service found that in none of these regions will Rigla LLC occupy a dominant position, the regulator said in a statement.

As part of the deal, Rigla became the owner of legal entities that manage 375 pharmacies under the Farmani and Pharmacy brands. In particular, 247 pharmacies were purchased in the Nizhny Novgorod region, 37 in the Vladimirskaya region, 36 in the Moscow region, 24 in the Republic of Mari El, 20 in the Kirov region, 8 in St. Petersburg and 3 in the Kaluga region. Thanks to this, the total number of pharmacies of the Rigla chain in the listed regions increased by 25%. It is expected that the deal will allow the company to significantly strengthen its position in the Nizhny Novgorod region: here Rigla plans to increase its share to 18%. In addition, the share of the network in the Republic of Mari El will increase 3.5 times, in the Kirov region. It is emphasized that the brands Farmani and Pharmacy are distinguished by a loyal customer base, as well as high standards of corporate culture.[1]

Purchase of the network "Pharmacies Minicen"

In early October 2024, it became known about the sale of the combined network "Pharmacies Minicen" and "New Pharmacy," which includes 282 points in the region. It is bought by Rigla. Read more here.

Buying chains of pharmacies Farmani and "Pharmacy"

On August 9, 2024, it became known that the Rigla pharmacy chain, which is part of the Protek group of companies, completed a major acquisition of the Nizhny Novgorod Pharmacy Chain company, which owns 375 pharmacies under the well-known brands Farmani and Pharmacy. As a result, the Rigla chain has expanded its geographical presence in eight key regions of Russia, increasing the total number of pharmacy outlets to 4.7 thousand. Read more here

Appointment of Boris Popov as CEO

In June 2024, Boris Popov was appointed General Director of the Rigla pharmacy chain, who previously headed the Zdravsiti company and led the joint direction of e-commerce of the Protek group. Purchase of 15 pharmacies from the Narodnaya Apteka chain

Rigla bought points of the St. Petersburg network Narodnaya Apteka. This deal became known in mid-March 2024. Under the terms of the agreement, 15 departments in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region were transferred to the buyer. Experts interviewed by Vedomosti estimate the deal at 70-80 million rubles. Joining the network of self-pickup of pharmacies "Sber Pharmacies"

Rigla acquired the Ussuri pharmacy chain Pharm

The Pharm chain, which has 31 pharmacies (mainly in Ussuriysk), was sold to Rigle. The deal became known on August 16, 2023. Read more here.

2022

Rigla acquired 11 pharmacies of the Tver chain Pharmacy - Management

On October 13, 2022, Rigla announced the acquisition of 11 pharmacies of the Tver chain Pharmacy - Management. The company did not disclose the value of the transaction. The deal is already closed. Read more here.

Rigle beauty cosmetics chain launch "

In February 2022, the Rigla pharmacy chain opened the Rigla beauty beauty store. It is located in Pushkin in the Moscow region. The company expects to open 10 more such points in Moscow by the end of 2022 - high and middle class shopping centers, as well as in the street retail format. Read more here.

Purchase of a chain of pharmacies from Kirov "Vyatka Pharmacies"
