Strategic partners of AMD company in the field of production of personal computers are Acer, Fujitsu, Hewlett-Packard and IBM. They are accompanied by 3Com, Bay Networks, Cabletron and Cisco in the field of network products and Alcatel, AT&T, Ericsson, NEC, Siemens AG and Sony in the market of telecommunication systems.
Main principle of AMD: all links of the sales channel should get a sales profit of the equipment of AMD. As 'large' (master distributors and retail networks of federal scale), and 'small' (small shops and corporate resellers).
All large local collectors are participants of the affiliate program of FPP (Fusion Partner Program) within which depending on purchasing amounts there are three statuses: Elite (it is appropriated to the largest partners), Premier and Select. In Russia and in Ukraine in total now there are 73 partners with the statuses Elite or Premier. Besides, there are over hundred Select-partner.
The share of Ukraine makes about 25% of the Russian volumes. Only our master distributors directly work with smaller producers of the PC. The staff of AMD CIS (including offices in Moscow, Kiev and representatives in a number of regions) is rather small (about forty people).
Judging by purchasing amounts in terms of money, each Russian Premier-partner in a year produces over 5 thousand desktop PCs, and each Select-partner — not less than one thousand. But it is very approximate digits. Besides some companies specialize in assembly of a large number of rather inexpensive machines, and others like to release the high-performance systems. Therefore to compare assemblers of the PC only by quantity of the units of production released by them not absolutely correctly. Only in the first half of 2011 the number of participants of our FPP program increased by 15 companies.
2014
The AMD company announced in April, 2014 start of the new affiliate program directed to support and strengthening of partner relations in the sales channel. It is a basis on three principles: Aspire, Motivate, Design. The affiliate program of AMD Partner Program (APP) provides simple and transparent conditions through the multi-layer system including a broad set of advantages: expert, marketing, referral. The updated portal for partners of AMD offers secure access to the most up-to-date information and also specialized content which will help partners to develop the business and to succeed thanks to wide technology to AMD portfolio.
In the affiliate program of AMD APP distributors, collectors of systems, retail and the Internet dealers can participate in categories Elite, Premier, Provisional Premier and Select, according to the conditions accepted in the program. In process of achievement of higher partner status, they get bigger number of advantages. The rank "Hero Builder" is the new category intended for collectors of systems influential and committed to the case who are the biggest enthusiasts among partners of AMD. Depending on status level, partners of the Hero Builder level will get additional benefits, including exclusive access to certain AMD technologies, earlier, than they will become available to all rest.
After confirmation of participation in the APP AMD program, participants will get access to the closed portal for partners. It contains materials in support of sales and marketing initiatives, reference books on products, videos, reviews and news and also additional resources among which the freshest drivers and many other things. All this will help partners with the sales channel to develop business together with AMD.
