2014: Oracle buys Micros Systems

In June, 2014 it became known that the American Oracle is going to purchase Micros Systems, Wall Street Journal with reference to the informed source reports. According to him, for each stock Micros the corporation will offer $67 or in the amount of $5 billion on June 20, 2014, Micros share value at the time of closing was $65.77. Thus, Oracle will pay slightly more than their market value.

The transaction can become the largest for Oracle since acquisition of SUN Microsystems in January, 2010. This producer of servers and the server software cost corporation $7.4 billion. The official announcement of the transaction is expected on June 23, 2014, in the evening Moscow time.

The cost of the transaction is estimated at 5.3 billion dollars (68 dollars for each stock), or 4.6 billion dollars less funds of MICROS.
